Chips for Field

David Saab's table is much quieter now that Saab's good buddy Carter Gill has hit the rail. Even the loquacious Saab himself seems to have piped down. He opened a recent pot to 1,500 and induced two folds before Josh Field re-raised to 4,500. The big blind in the hand pushed all in over the top of that raise for 13,000, drawing a quick fold from Saab and a quick call from Field.

Field had woken up with a real hand and watched it hold up, {k-Clubs}

. He eliminated the big blind and increased his own count to roughly 40,000.

Saab Wins Race; Sends Gill Packing

"Win a race... Come on Sharky!" shouted David Saab, holding his stuffed PokerStars 'Card Shark' high in the air as the dealer prepped the table for a classic {A-Spades}

v.

race between him and Carter Gill.

Saab's jacks remained best after the {4-Diamonds}

flop.

"Hold on, Sharky!" he yelled.

The {3-Clubs}

fell on the turn.

"Come on, Sharky!" the pleading continued.

The last card off the deck was the {4-Hearts}

and Saab's jacks would reign supreme to claim the pot, sending Gill to the rail.

"Sharky power!" screamed Saab before he raked in his newfound chips. He now has just under 60,000 in total.

Chong Wing Cheong on a Mission

Tran Still Climbing

Theo Tran is fast approaching 100,000 in chips, seemingly in complete control of the action at his table. He recently took another 7,600 from Andrew Scott in the following hand:

One limper entered the pot before the action folded around to Tran in the cutoff, who limped as well. Scott completed from the small blind and the big blind checked.

The flop came down {5-Diamonds}

and Scott opened with a 2,000 bet. Both the big blind and unknown limper folded, but Tran made the call.

The {3-Spades}

fell on fourth street and Scott fired again, this time making it 5,000 to play. Tran called once more, sending the action to the river: {J-Clubs}

Two quick checks prompted an early showdown and Scott tabled {10-?}

for two pair. Tran then tabled {Q-Hearts}

for a bigger two pair to earn the pot. He currently sits with right around 93,000 in chips.

The eliminations are starting to pick up out on the tournament floor. After taking a hit just a few minutes before, Bryan Huang found himself all in for his last 7,950 with {7-Diamonds}

. It was a tough spot for his opponent, but he eventually called with {A-Clubs}
