Vijayan Nagarajan Eliminated in 25th Place (A$12,145)

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Vijayan Nagarajan - 25th Place
Vijayan Nagarajan - 25th Place

Tom Rafferty raised to 17,500 and Manuel Hansimikali called from the cutoff seat. Vijayan Nagarajan moved all in from the small blind for about 125,000 and Roland de Wolfe moved all in from the big blind for a little over 300,000. Rafferty and Hansimikali folded, leaving the other two players heads up.

Nagarajan held the {A-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} and was up against the {A-Spades}{Q-Clubs} for de Wolfe. The board ran out {K-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} and de Wolfe's hand held up. He sent Nagarajan to the rail and moved his stack to 495,000 in chips.

Set-Over-Set Double for Stergiotis

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Jonathan Karamalikis opened to 17,000 from the hijack and found just one caller in Andrew Stergiotis from the big blind.

Both players checked the {5-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} flop to see the {4-Spades} land on the turn and Stergiotis instantly move all in for 104,500. Just as quickly, Karamalikis made the call to put Stergiotis at risk.

Karamalikis: {4-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}
Stergiotis: {7-Clubs}{7-Spades}

With a cooler hand all but ensuring Stergiotis a double, the {8-Clubs} spiked on the river to see the
255,000-chip pot pushed to Stergiotis as Karamalikis slips to 820,000 in chips.

Straight for Negreanu

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

A paired flop laid in the middle of the felt between Jarred Graham and Daniel Negreanu. The flop was {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{10-Hearts} and both players checked to see the {7-Diamonds} fall on the turn. Negreanu fired 21,000 and Graham made the call.

The river card was the {9-Clubs} and Negreanu bet out again. He bet 45,000 this time and Graham called. Negreanu tabled the {K-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds} for a king-high straight on the river and Graham mucked.

Hansimikali Has Kicker Issues

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 500 ante

Tom Rafferty raised to 14,000 from middle position. He was called by Manuel Hansimikali on the button and the flop came down {9-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{5-Spades}. Rafferty checked and opted not to fire a continuation bet. Hansimikali checked behind.

The turn added the {K-Diamonds} to the board and Rafferty fired 26,000. Hansimikali made the call.

The river card completed the board with the {Q-Clubs} and both players checked. Hansimikali held top pair with the {K-Hearts}{J-Clubs}, but lost to the kicker of Rafferty, who had the {A-Spades}{K-Clubs}. Rafferty moved to 522,000 and Hansimikali dropped to 595,000.
