Steve Bouya Eliminated in 3rd Place (A$116,000)

Steve Bouya - 3rd Place
Steve Bouya - 3rd Place

Steve Bouya raised it to 125,000 from the button and both Leo Boxell and Phillip Willcocks called from the blinds.

Flop: {j-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}

Boxell and Willcocks both checked, whereby Bouya bet 225,000. Boxell then put in the check-raise to 500,000 and Willcocks got out of the way. Bouya then went into the tank before announcing he was all-in. Boxell made the call pretty quickly and the players turned their hands over.

Boxell: {a-Clubs}{a-Spades}
Bouya: {9-Diamonds}{9-Spades}

Bouya would need some help or he would be going home and when the turn and river ran out with the {k-Clubs} and the {3-Clubs} respectively, it was all over for Bouya.

Bouya will be happy to take home the bigest score of his career for his 3rd place finish.

How Many Hands

Level 25 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

There have been 206 hands this evening and with the three remaining players each having 40 big blinds or more, there is still plenty of poker action to come!

Level: 25

Blinds: 25,000/50,000

Ante: 5,000

Break Time

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 4,000 ante

The players have been sent on a break.

With the elimination of William Jones, only three players will be coming back after the break.

William Jones Eliminated in 4th Place (A$88,600)

William Jones - 4th Place
William Jones - 4th Place

Just as the players were about to head on another ten minute break, this massive hand played out and left us with only three players.

It all started when the action was folded to William Jones on the button and he made it 80,000 to go. Both Phillip Willcocks and Steve Bouya made the call from the blinds and we would see a flop.

The {9-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{5-Spades} hit the flop and Willcocks led for 175,000. Bouya got out of the way and the next move was on Jones who popped it to 425,000. Willcocks then moved all-in and Jones made the call.

Willcocks: {6-Spades}{7-Spades}
Jones: {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}

The massive hands were turned over, with Jones out in front with his set, but he had a lot of bullets to dodge with Willcocks holding an inside straight-flush draw.

The turn card was a devestating {8-Hearts}, giving Willcocks the straight and when the river didn't feature a nine or pair the board, it was all over for Jones with Willcocks having him covered by only a few big blinds.

The Tasmanian goes home in 4th place, taking with him $88,600 in prizemoney.

Leo Moving Up

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 4,000 ante

The action was folded to Leo Boxell in the small blind and he put in a small raise with William Jones in the big blind. Not to be pushed around, Jones made the call and a flop would be dealt.

Flop: {3-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{7-Hearts}

Boxell open-shoved on this flop, more than enough to get Jones out of the hand, as Boxell takes down another pot.

Three For Boxell

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 4,000 ante

Phillip Willcocks min-raised from the button and received a call from both Steve Bouya and Leo Boxell in the blinds.

The flop hit the felt showing {6-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{3-Hearts} and Bouya checked, whereby Boxell threw in 155,000. Willcocks made the call and Bouya got out of the way.

The turn card was the {2-Diamonds} and Boxell checked to Willcocks who made it 240,000 to see a river. Willcocks called and the {3-Clubs} fell on the river, which both players opted to check.

Boxell showed {3-Spades}{5-Spades}, his rivered three of a kind too good for the {q-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} of Willcocks
