Only 37 Return For Day 3 Action!

Here we are again in the Crown Poker Room for the 2011 PokerStars.net Melbourne APPT Main Event, with the action of the penultimate day set to kick off!

Only 37 players will be returning for today’s proceedings, and nine of those will be going home empty-handed, while the rest will be guaranteed at least $8,600 and the chance at taking a run at the $330,000 first prize.

The player with all the chips and the man to catch today is Phillip Willcocks, who starts Day 3 with 770,400 in chips. Hot on Willcocks' tail, and starting the day sitting side-by-side with Willcocks is James Obst and his 452,900 in chips. Also in a good position is PokerStars Team Online Pro Keiran Harris with 389,000 in chips.

Today is expected to play until a final table is reached and some players with plenty of chips to work with include, Luke Edwards (356,100), Jackson Zheng (281,800), Antonis Kambouroglou (279,200), Michael Guzzardi (230,100), Mitch Carle (172,300), Leo Boxell (172,300) and Tony Hachem (161,400).

Play is set to begin at 12:10 PM AEST with PokerNews again providing all the action from the floor, as we weave our way down to the APPT final table!
