The Last Day One At Snowfest

Queenstown, New Zealand
Queenstown, New Zealand

Here we are again in the icy cold city of Queenstown, New Zealand and coming to you from the warmth of the Sky City Casino for Day 1c of the 2011 PokerStars.net APPT Queenstown Snowfest!

Today marks the final chance for players to take part in the poker action, with Day 1c set to start in around one hour’s time. So far there have been 83 players who have taken to the felt, 43 of which played yesterday and today will be looking to get a similar number to that, with hopes for even more.

Of course, it’s all about making that elusive Day 2 and accumulating enough chips to give yourself a fighting chance. Today is no different. The biggest stack to catch is New Zealand’s Cole Swannack who managed to gather 86,050 chips on Day 1a and he will set the benchmark for today’s proceedings.

Regardless of how many entries today garners, Queenstown is set to become a favourite stop on the tour with not a negative word to be said and fantastic feedback coming from all directions.

While the APPT is more than just a poker event, offering players fantastic travel opportunities to some of the most beautiful places in the world; at the end of the day we are here to play poker and crown an APPT Champion, so sit back and join the PokerNews Live Reporting Team for all the action from Day 1c.
