Jones Puts Opponents to the Test
The action started with Jay Tan opening to 1,300 from middle position, and finding a call from the player on the button, as well as Lacey Jones on the big blind. The flop came down , and Jones checked. Tan threw out a continuation bet of 2,100, before being met with a raise to 4,200 from the player on the button. Jones went into the tank for a minute, before announcing all-in.
Tan asked for a count, and when she found out the total was 31,000; she also went into the tank, before eventually folding her hand. The player on the button didn’t take as long to make up his mind, as the cards went into the muck shortly after.
“You tell me later what you had?” asked the player on the button. Jones obliged raking in the pot, as Tan also spoke up.
“I thought you said call,” said Tan, after she misheard the player on the button announcing his fold. “I was excited to see!”
A nice pot for Jones, who moves up to 43,000, as Tan drops down to 35,000 in chips.
