Lee Moving Up

Level 2 : 100/200, 0 ante

The hand started with the player under the gun limping into the pot, as did Jason Lee in the cut-off, as well the player in the small blind. Vincent Rubianes raised to 1,350 from the big blind, and was called by everyone but his opponent in the blinds.

The flop came {5-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}{J-Clubs} and all three players checked as the {7-Hearts} fell on the turn. Rubianes checked, before a bet of 1,650 was thrown out by the player to his left. Lee made the quick call, and Rubianes obliged, as the {Q-Hearts} completed the board.

Two quick checks left Lee with a decision, and he casually threw out a bet of 5,700 which was met with back-to-back folds shortly after.

O’Rourke Chipping Up Early

Level 1 : 50/100, 0 ante

We arrived at the table to see the player under the gun open to 300 and finding a call from Liam O’Rourke in the hijack, as well as the player on the big blind. The flop fell {8-Spades}{J-Clubs}{7-Hearts} and the action checked around to O’Rourke who placed out a bet of 450. Only his opponent sitting under the gun called, as the turn came the {4-Diamonds}. Another check brought a bet of 1,200 from O’Rourke, which was enough to take down the pot.

O’Rourke is sitting on 41,000, nearing the end of the first level of play.

Cheung Eliminated

Level 1 : 50/100, 0 ante

Action started with George Ghica opening to 250 from middle position and finding a call from the player on the button. Sparrow Cheung was in the small blind, and bumped it up to 650 which both other players called. The flop came down {K-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} and Cheung led out for 2,000. Ghica tanked for a minute before min-raising to 4,000, forcing a fold from the player on the button. With the decision back on Cheung, he also thought for a minute before raising to 8,000 in chips. Ghica casually placed out a raise to 12,000 leading Cheung to move all in for his remaining chips. Ghica snap-called and the cards were tabled.

Cheung: {A-Spades}{K-Hearts}
Ghica: {8-Hearts}{8-Clubs}

Unfortunately for Cheung, his trip kings had run into the flopped full-house of Ghica. The board ran out the {9-Hearts}{7-Hearts} to see Cheung make his way to the rail.

Speidel Crushed, Eliminated

Level 1 : 50/100, 0 ante

We arrived at the table with 2,000 in the pot and the flop showing {3-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}. Oliver Speidel was in middle position, and bet out 1,400. Wen-Ming Tu was in the hijack, and raised to 3,500. After thinking for a moment, Speidel moved all-in for his entire stack, and was called almost instantly.

Speidel: {6-Clubs}{7-Clubs}
Tu: {8-Diamonds}{8-Spades}

Speidel had run into Tu’s flopped set of eights, but was unable to improve as the board ran out the {4-Diamonds} and {a-Hearts}.

He was left with only 300 in chips, and was seen exiting the tournament floor a few hands later.
