Westmorland Calls it Down

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

With the flop spread out {k-Clubs}{7-Spades}{q-Spades} Graeme Putt checked from the big blind before Jordan Westmorland bet out 9,500 from under the gun. The player to his left made a quick call which forced Putt out. The {6-Hearts} fell on the turn, and Westmorland checked. His opponent reached for chips and slid out 17,000 which was called. The river produced the {3-Hearts} and Westmorland check called a final bet of 18,000.

“Ace high,” said Westmorland’s opponent, motioning to muck his hand. Westmorland then tabled his {k-Spades}{10-Spades} for top pair which was good enough to take down the pot.
