Giannopoulos Eliminates Two

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 500 ante

In the first hand, both Pravin Harji and Jordan Westmorland committed all their chips on a flop reading {7-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{2-Clubs}. Harji rolled over his {7-Clubs}{7-Spades} which had out-flopped Westmorland who tabled his {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}. The board ran out the {7-Hearts}and {j-Clubs} and after a quick count of both stacks, it was determined that Westmorland was left with one 500-chip.

In the following hand, Westomorland was all in for an ante. The action then saw George Giannopoulos move all in for his last 44,500 from the hijack before Luke Brabin committed his last 30,000 from the button.

Westmorland: {j-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}
Giannopoulos: {9-Diamonds}{9-Spades}
Brabin: {8-Diamonds}{8-Spades}

Board: {5-Spades}{j-Clubs}{7-Spades}{q-Clubs}{9-Hearts}

Westmorland was fortunate enough to flop two pair to take the lead, but the nine on the river gave Giannopoulos the win with his set.

Westmorland would finish in 34th place with Brabin finishing in 33rd.
