Wang on the Comeback Train

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Yuexin Wang had lost most of his chips but just doubled up back to 50,000 chips. The full betting action was amiss, but Wang then shoved his last 6,000 on the {7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}{7-Spades} turn and his opponent reluctantly called. "Ace king?" the Chinese asked and that's indeed what his opponent turned over in {A-Spades}{K-Hearts}. Wang's {4-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} held up after a brick on the river.

Small Pot for Liu

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

On the turn of a {9-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{7-Spades} board, Geng Liu called a small bet of 2,600 by his table neighbor and the two then checked the {9-Clubs} on the river. Liu's {K-Spades}{10-Spades} scooped the pot against a pair of sixes.

One hand later, Gab Yong Kim raised from under the gun to 2,100 but folded to the shove of the player in the big blind. Yoshiro Nagata had re-appeared on the radar and elected to forfeit his small blind. Kim was very short not long ago but is now back to more than 30k.

Luo Keeps Hitting

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Wenxiong Luo raised from the cutoff and found a caller in the big blind to see a flop of {K-Hearts}{Q-Spades}{8-Spades}. The opponent immediately moved all in for 12,800, which represented double the pot size, and Luo made the call with {Q-Clubs}{8-Hearts}. His opponent was on a draw with the {J-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} and the {6-Spades} turn as well as {6-Clubs} river bricked.

Kan Takes One Out

Level 7 : 400/800, 100 ante

Raiden Kan called from under the gun as did the player in the hijack. The option fell on the player on the button who then moved all in for his remaining 5,300 in chips. After the blinds got out of the way - Kan snap called - resulting in the other player mucking his hand.

Kan: {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs}
Opponent: {q-Clubs}{5-Clubs}

The board ran out {k-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{10-Spades}{a-Clubs}{2-Clubs} to see Kan improve to a set on the flop as he moves back up to over starting stack.

Liang Doesn't Call

Level 7 : 400/800, 100 ante

After a limp from a player in early position, Jia Liang min-raised to 1,600 and the player in the small blind moved all in. The limper quickly folded and Liang asked for a count. It was 37,100 in total to call and the Chinese carefully checked his stack and what would remain if he makes the call. After two minutes of consideration, Liang folded but remains among the selected few on six digits.

No Cash for Lim and Zhu

Level 7 : 400/800, 100 ante
No Lucky Charm This Time
No Lucky Charm This Time

"I think my highest stack today was starting stack. Never got anything going. Aaron also busted way back." Yaxi Zhu was still smiling while on the rail, but her tournament has come to an end. Same applies for Aaron Lim, who she referred to.

Kim On The Decline

Level 7 : 400/800, 100 ante

The player in middle position raised to 1,800 and was called by Gab Yong Kim in the hijack. The player in the big blind then slid out 3,600 and was called by both his opponents.

He then checked the {2-Spades}{a-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} forcing the player in middle position to bet out 4,000. Kim called before the player in the small blind instantly moved all in for 12,100. The raiser snap folded his hand before Kim let out a laugh. He made the call and both players tabled their cards.

Kim: {a-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}

Opponent: {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}

Kim was almost drawing dead and would find no help as the board ran out {k-Hearts} and {3-Hearts} to see him drop down to 6,500 in chips.

Zhao the Silent Assassin

Level 7 : 400/800, 100 ante

Fan Zhao spent the entire day over on table 20 and that one is difficult to access. Just now he was spotted as one of the biggest stacks in the room and sure enough he raised to 2,100 as well. The player on the button called and Zhao checked the {Q-Spades}{J-Hearts}{J-Diamonds} flop. The Chinese and his opponent both checked before Zhao check-called a bet of 2,600 on the {7-Clubs} turn.

On the {K-Spades} river, it was another check but this time the opponent didn't fall for the trap and checked behind. Zhao flipped over his {A-Spades}{A-Hearts} and there was some "ohhh's" on the table.

Wittendorff's Implosion

Level 7 : 400/800, 100 ante

Upon checking the outer tables again, Kim Wittendorff had disappeared. Fabio Fumagalli in seat two explained that the Dane was complaining about sitting in the hallway upon arriving at his new table and then ran a bluff with {A-}{J-} for ace-high while Wenxiong Luo already had a full house and very easy call.
