Hanshi Heading Up

Level 1 : 50/100, 0 ante

In one of the early confrontations, Huang Hanshi defended his big blind against a button raise and the {6-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{10-Clubs} flop saw him as well as the opponent invest 600 chips. On the {4-Spades} turn, Hanshi led for 1,150 and his opponent raised to 3,000 after approximately one minute of consideration.

Hanshi was having none of it and reraised to 6,000, enforced a fold and flashed the {10-Diamonds} for everybody to see.

The First Stars Pros Arrive

Level 1 : 50/100, 0 ante

Two of the four PokerStars Team Pro’s expected today have taken their seats early in proceedings.

Vivian Im has had great success throughout Asia with her notable results including taking down the APPT Philippines Main Event in 2010 then narrowly missing out on a Red Dragon title the following year.

The other is Celina Lin. Lin has one many titles including two Red Dragon events back in 2009 and 2012 making her the only two time winner. Last month Lin went agonisingly close to capturing an APPT main event title in Seoul were she finished 4th. She’ll be looking to go a few places better in this event.
