From under the gun, Jimmy Torres announced all-in and Eric Tsai on the button asked for an exact count to then call. Chao-Ting Cheng folded in the small blind and Junnie Pamplona then vaulted out of his chair to study the opponents. Some 25 seconds passed when Pamplona then moved all-in over the top.

His isolation shove was for 4,495,000 and Tsai folded, mentioning in the table chat to have folded jacks.

Jimmy Torres raised to 160,000 from under the gun and folded when Junnie Pamplona three-bet to 475,000 in the big blind.

Pamplona raised it up to 200,000 first to act next and Torres called on the button. On a [9d6hd] flop, Pamplona bet 160,000 and Torres came along to see the J on the turn. Pamplona now check-called for 250,000 and the K river then completed the board.

Pamplona checked again and Torres knuckled it back with the words "you hit the river?" He was shown the 98 by Pamplona and that won the pot.

Chao-Ting Cheng raised it up to then call a button three-bet to 450,000 by Junnie Pamplona. On a flop of 1062, Cheng checked over to Pamplona, who continued for 250,000 and received a call.

Both players checked the A on the turn and the 9 fell on the river. Cheng checked once more and Pamplona then fired a bet of 550,000 to win the pot uncontested.

"Aces?!" Eric Tsai instantly exclaimed but Pamplona didn't show anything while raking in the pot.

Torres Gets a Shove Through

In a battle of the blinds, Junnie Pamplona and Jimmy Torres invested 250,000 on the 862 flop and the former checked the A turn. Torres made it 200,000 to go and Pamplona folded.

One hand later, Chao-Ting Cheng raised to 160,000 to collect the blinds and big blind ante, as Eric Tsai folded the 72 face-up.

Pamplona raised to 200,000 next and Torres jammed for 1,595,000 on the button. Tsai asked for an exact count and folded, as did all other players behind. "I had a middling pair, pocket sevens," Tsai mentioned in the table chat.

Flop Bet Win Boosts Tsai Further

Eric Tsai made it 250,000 to go out of the small blind and fellow countryman Chao-Ting Cheng called out of the big blind.

The duo headed to the 552 flop on which Tsai continued for 280,000 right away. Cheng had a smile on the face when he sent his cards into the muck.

Tsai Applies Pressure; Torres Gets Shorter

Junnie Pamplona raised to 200,000 on the button for Eric Tsai to call in the big blind. Both checked the 972 flop and Tsai check-folded the 2 turn to a bet of 125,000.

Jimmy Torres then raised to 160,000 on the button and was called by Tsai in the small blind, Chao-Ting Cheng also came along in the big blind as well. The Q97 flop was checked to Torres, who bet 175,000. Only Tsai check-called and the 8 turn was checked.

Tsai then bet the 9 river and Torres got out of the way.

Now far shortest stack, Torres min-raised the next hand to 160,000 from under the gun and won the blinds and big blind ante.

Chao-Ting Cheng raised to 120,000 and Jimmy Flores three-bet to 375,000 for Cheng to reluctantly call. Torres led the flop of J105 out of the small blind for 175,000 and earned a call from Cheng.

Fast forward to the 2 turn, Torres bet another 500,000 and that represented one third of the stack of his opponent. Cheng used a time bank and jammed for 1,525,000 to force out Torres, who took two time bank extensions.

The next hand brought another three-bet and then, Eric Tsai made it 125,000 to go in the cutoff. Pamplona in the small blind three-bet to 330,000 only for Tsai to also four-bet, for 700,000 total. Pamplona used a time bank, shook his head and folded.
