In a five-way three-bet pot to the A♥J♠2♦ flop, it checked all the way to Mark Remnant on the button with the flop showing A♥J♠2♦. Remnant announced a bet of 7,000 and tossed in two orange T-5,000 chips. Three folds later, the action was on He Zhou and she also folded to forfeit the pot.
Along with Hal Rotholz, Remnant is an early chip leader towards the end of level one.

Heads-up to the J♥9♦3♥4♥ turn, Grant Gardner and Roland Kivi both invested what appeared to be 2,700 and that led them to the K♥ on the river. Gardner now checked and Kivi then bet 3,800. That brought a dry smile on the face of Gardner, who sigh-folded a couple of seconds later.

Picking up the action on the 9♥8♠7♦ flop, Mark Remnant bet 1,200 out of the small blind and Hyunkyou Park called from under the gun. Remnant bet again the A♣ turn for 2,200 to get raised by Park, who made it 6,200 to go. The Brit came along and both checked the 2♥ on the river.
Remnant tabled the A♠3♠ and that won the pot.
