Chris Chau saw what looked like a good spot to try to accumulate chips. Rocking a severely short stack, he moved in for 81,000 after Inwook Choi opened to 30,000 and was called by Adrien Allain from the small blind. Both Choi and Allain called, giving Chau the chance to triple up but also giving him two opponents to overcome. Choi and Allain checked all the way down on a board of {10-Clubs}

, with Choi making tens and threes. It was the best hand at showdown, resulting in Chau's elimination from the tournament in 5th place.

Another Pot For Allain

In a limped pot in a battle of the blinds, J.C. Tran and Adrien Allain went to a flop of {9-Spades}

Tran led out with a minimum bet of 12,000 before Allain popped it up to 40,000 to go. Tran made the call.

and Tran checked, then folded to the 60,000 chip bet of Allain.

Setback for Tran

Inwook Choi just showed that he also knows how to create pressure with his chips. He opened for 25,000 and was called by big blind J.C. Tran. Tran check-called a bet of 30,000 after the dealer spread out a flop of {A-Clubs}

. The turn fell {5-Spades}

and Tran checked again. Choi followed his flop bet with a turn bet of 65,000. Tran announced a raise; Choi responded by moving all in, inducing a quick fold from Tran.

Tran and Steicke Tangle Again

J.C.Tran opened the action from under the gun with a raise to 25,000. Play folded to David Steicke in the big blind who made the call.

The flop fell {K-?}

with two diamonds and both players checked.

The turn was the {6-Clubs}

and Steicke checked to Tran who tossed out 30,000. Steicke made the call.

The river brought the {9-Diamonds}

and both checked it down. Steicke tabled ace-high but Tran picked up a pair on the river with his {A-Hearts}

to take it down.

Allain Puts His Chips to Work

What started out as a promising hand between David Steicke and Adrien Allain ended without much fanfare on the flop. Steicke opened the preflop action to 43,000, then called Allain's re-raise from the blinds to 130,000. On a flop of {k-Diamonds}

, Allain made a large bet of 200,000. Steicke tanked for more than a minute before sending his cards into the muck.

You Need Three Barrels To Stop Steicke

David Steicke popped it up to a hefty 45,000 from the small blind and J.C. Tran made the call in the big blind.

The flop came down {Q-Spades}

and Steicke checked to Tran who fired 52,000. Steicke deliberated, rocked back in his chair, took a sip of his refreshing beverage and splashed out a call.

The turn was the {8-Clubs}

and Steicke checked again to Tran who this time made the price 83,000 to continue. Steicke again took his time before declaring a call.

The river was the {q-Clubs}

as a silent hush came over the audience in anticipation of a big river showdown. They were a little disappointed after both players thought for several moments before checking it down.

Steicke was first to show and flipped {K-Diamonds}

for a busted flush draw, but the king was enough to get half of the pot as Tran tabled {K-Clubs}

for a double barrel bluff. Chop it up!
