Setback for Choi

Inwook Choi's been running hot today, but he's taken a step backwards. Choi opened for 6,000 in front of Kristoffer Myhre, who re-raised all in for another 53,100. Choi asked for a count, then shrugged and shipped a call into the middle with {A-Clubs}

. He was against Myhre's {9-Hearts}

and couldn't improve.

After losing that pot, Choi is down to about 88,000. Myhre doubled to 110,000.

Wong Timing For Demes

Brandon Demes was amongst our chip leaders a few short minutes ago but now finds himself heading to the cashier after a classic cooler went against him.

The chips flew into the middle and Demes threw his head back when he flipped {K-Clubs}

only to discover he'd run into the {A-Hearts}

of Nick Wong.

The board ran out {4-Diamonds}

and Demes is eliminated in 39th place for a collect of $5,225.

Congratulations to the 40 players remaining in the 2009 Asian Poker Tour Macau Main Event. They are all in the money after the elimination of Lee Jae Do on the bubble. Do was the shortest of the short stacks. With the blinds coming for him, he opened all in for 7,100. [Removed:505] re-raised to 15,000, eventually chasing everyone else out (though not after a two-minutes tank by one player).

Kinkade's {A-Clubs}

was flipping against Do's {2-Diamonds}

. Kinkade hit a jack straight away, {J-Hearts}

, then had to sweat the river after the turn came {9-Diamonds}

. The river fell harmless, {5-Clubs}

, to send Do crashing to the rail.

Wong Rockets Ahead of Bubble

Nick Wong had no intentions of being the bubble boy after firing 14,000 on the flop, he quickly shoved all in for his last 30,000 on the turn on a board of {3-Spades}

.

Michael Lipari was his opponent and quickly folded as Wong flashed {A-Diamonds}

! He's up to 80,000 and in pretty safe territory to cash. The bubble continues!

Woo Punishing Opponents on Bubble

Four players were in for a raise at the table in the back corner of the room, including Nick Wong, Michael Woo and Stewart Scott. Each of the four checked an all-small flop, {4-Spades}

. On the turn {4-Clubs}

Wong checked again, prompting the fourth player in the hand to make a weak lead of 5,000. Woo raised that bet to 12,000, folding Scott and Wong.

"Ahhhh, bubble, bubble, bubble," said the original bettor. He also folded.

Bell Knocks Out Opponent as Bubble Approaches

Emanuel Bell is always good for a colorful hand. He moved all in for about 60,000 after a player opened for 5,500. That player called all in for a total of abut 20,000 and couldn't believe his misfortune. His {J-Diamonds}

had run into Bell's {K-Diamonds}

and to make matters worse, a third player folded {K-?}

. A board of {A-Diamonds}

pumped Bell's stack up to 80,000.

"I had deuce-six," David Steicke told Bell. "I would have busted you both."

"There's 60-K in the middle," retorted Bell. "You're not calling that. Even you're not that crazy."

"You are correct sir," Steicke replied.
