Still Waiting

The round four match between Michael Pesek and David Gent is a see-sawing battle with Pesek currently holding a slender 2,300-chip lead.

Still in their first match; this one may stretch out in similar fashion to a few of the other matches we have witnessed.

Scott and Tabatabai Stalemate

Tabatabai pushing round

Andrew Scott and John Tabatabai are still locked at nil-nil in a stalemate.

Currently, with a starting stack of 5,000, blinds sit at 200-400 with only ten minutes remaining in the level.

The last few pots have seen Tabatabai push all in to take the pot down and take over the chip lead.

Gent vs. Pesek

The round four match of Michael Pesek and David Gent has just begun.

Similar to round three, they start with 10,000 in chips with the blinds starting at 100-200 and changing every twenty minutes.

On a side note, they are playing on the same table as the round two match of John Tabatabai and Andrew Scott, who are still dead-locked in round two.

Gent Through to Round Four

Sabat exits

After bricking on a flush draw, Eddy Sabat was left short. Facing David Gent's all in, he decided to call for his last 3,000.

Gent: {2-Spades}{2-Diamonds}
Sabat: {A-Spades}{4-Diamonds}

With the cards turned over Sabat stated, "I love this hand!" However, when the flop fell {2-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}{K-Spades} he murmoured, "I don't love this hand." The turn landed the {3-Hearts}, leaving Sabat drawing dead. With the meaningless {8-Clubs} on the river, the 2008 APPT Heads-Up Champion was sent to the rail as David Gent progresses to round four.

Pesek Progresses

Tahtouh eliminated
Tahtouh eliminated
Catching the action on the flop of {7-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}, Emad Tahtouh led for 2,000 and Michael Pesek moved all in for around 9,500. Tahtouh 'ummed' and 'ahhed' before making the call for his last 9,100.

Tahtouh: {Q-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}
Pesek: {A-Diamonds}{J-Spades}

Tahtouh's lead wouldn't last long when the {A-Clubs} fell on the turn, which sent him out of his chair in a screaming rant. The {9-Spades} on the river would see Pesek advance to round four. Tahtouh then stormed out from the high-stakes area.

Pesek's next opponent will be either Eddy Sabat or David Gent, who are locked at one-nil Gent's way.

Tahtouh, Gray Holding Sway

Jason Gray has just taken the first match against Koray Turker, while Emad Tahtouh is holding strong against Michael Pesek.

Still in their round two match, John Tabatabai and Andrew Scott are still locked at one a piece with Tabatabai holding a three-to-one chip lead after flopping a set of deuces and getting paid off on the river.
