Play Is SUPER Slow

How long will Lauren last?
How long will Lauren last?
Play is really slowing down at the moment and is running in parallel compared to the Main Event; which is down to 11.

There are plenty of short stacks at the moment, but none are really taking the risk. One is Lauren McIver who is still peddling her short stack on a table that features Noah Schwartz, Jim Sachinidis and Steve Leonard.

McIver is looking to replicate her husband's deep run in the Main Event where Dean was able to finish in 33rd place, and is currently the last remaining female in the field.

Phillip Peters starting to wake up
Phillip Peters starting to wake up
Phillip Peters led out 2,600 with the board reading {J-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}{4-Clubs} and Phil Laak made the call. The river fell the {K-Spades} and Peters kept the aggression up by making it 4,600. Laak called and then mucked just as quickly when he saw Peters table his {Q-Spades}{9-Spades}.

As Peters raked in the pot sending him to 53,000, Laak slipped back to just under 20,000.

Table Transfer for Khalil

Ali Khalil recently moved tables to be seated on James 'AndyMcLEOD' Obst right. He lost two pots to Obst who was the pot away from him on the flop and then this followed.

With all the money in preflop it was Khalil's {K-Diamonds}{K-Spades} against Grigory Terpelyuk's {A-Clubs}{10-Spades}. The window card of the {A-Diamonds} was enough to sink Khalil back to his chair and with the board running out {A-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} Khalil would slip to 33,000 as Terpelyuk moved up to 73,000 in chips.
