Jim Giannoukos Eliminated in 11th Place (AU$2,600)

Jim Giannoukos limped in from the small blind and Jani Mikkola checked his option. The flop came {5-Hearts} {3-Spades} {A-Hearts} and both players checked. When the turn came the {K-Diamonds} the chips went into the middle and Jim Giannoukos' tournament life was on the line. He tabled {K-Clubs} {9-Spades}, but was drawing dead against Mikkola's {4-Hearts} {2-Spades}. The river was a meaningless {Q-Clubs} as Giannoukos exited the tournament area.

Mark Saber Eliminated in 13th Place (AU$2,600)

Mark Saber - 13th place
Mark Saber - 13th place
Mark Saber raised to 9,000 under the gun and Gary Benson called out of the small blind. They checked the {J-Clubs} {9-Diamonds} {J-Spades} flop and the {7-Clubs} landed on the turn. Benson bet 8,000 and Saber called, leading to the {7-Hearts} on the river. Benson moved all in, having Saber covered. He thought for a few moments before calling, but he mucked his hand when Benson tabled {A-Spades} {J-Hearts}. Saber tapped the table and wished the remaining players luck as he headed to the cashier.

Sticky Gets Stuck

Guttman didn't see the turn card
Guttman didn't see the turn card
Mick "Sticky" Guttman got his {A-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} in against the all in player Jani Mikkola with {8-Spades}{4-Hearts}. The flop came {q-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}, the turn {8-Diamonds} putting Mikkola ahead, and the river {6-Spades} made no improvement for Guttman. After the hand however Guttman had thought that he had won, but the guilty turn card was pointed out to him.

Guttman drops to 44,000. Mikkola has 91,000.
