Eivind Syslak was clearly pained. After raising preflop and being called by Kerry Stead, he took a flop of . Syslak bet after Stead checked, then watched in dismay as Stead check-raised. Syslak tanked for two minutes before making the call to the turn, leaving himself 12,000 behind. Stead bet 10,000, and again Syslak tanked for well over a minute. Finally, he raised all in for his last 12,000. Stead called.

Stead flopped a flush draw and overcard, and hit his overcard on the turn. That left Syslak drawing to the two remaining nines. He missed; the river was the to make the nut flush for Stead and eliminate Syslak on the bubble.
With Syslak's elimination, the remaining eight players are all in the money.
Jens Weigel isn't the only stud master. At the other table, Jarred Solomon called Van Marcus all the way down to the river. Marcus had a junky, unconnected board, x-x / / x. He bet the river nonetheless, and was called by Solomon with just a pair of eights. It was good. Solomon is up to 48,000 as a result of this win.
Jens Weigel brought in for 2,000 and with the action folding around to Michael Guzzardi, he completed to 4,000. Weigel then put in the third raise to 6,000 and Guzzardi called. Weigel proceded to call a bet on each street until he was all-in on sixth, with both players showing:
Guzzardi: /
Weigel: /
Guzzardi caught a and Weigel a . On seventh, Guzzardi found the and Weigel the .
With Guzzardi's trip fives taking the pot, we lost Weigel in 11th place and Guzzardi jumped up to 90,000 in chips

David Morton completed to 4,000 with the showing and Harry Demetriou called with the up.
Morton again led out when he caught the on fourth street. Demetriou called after being dealt the . On fifth street, Morton was dealt the and moved all-in for his last few thousand. Demetriou had paired up with the and stated, "I think you paired up, but so did I," and mucked.
