Robl Finds Double Up

Andrew Robl opened with a raise from the cutoff to 14,000 before Dan Shak made it 48,000 to go from the button. The blinds folded and Robl committed his last chips with a call.

Robl: {Q-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}
Shak: {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts}

The board was all Robl as it ran out {8-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{4-Spades} to give Robl a full house and the double up. He's back to over around 100,000 as Shak takes a hit.

Steicke Magic

Steicke Flops Quads
Steicke Flops Quads
John Juanda opened with a raise to 8,000 and David Steicke and JC Tran made the call. On a flop of {9-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{10-Clubs} Juanda and Steicke checked to Tran on the button who led out with a bet of 12,000 and both players followed it up with a call.

The turn landed the {2-Spades} and with it again being checked to Tran he cut down a bet of 26,000. Juanda passed and the clock counted down on Steicke. Five, four, three, two, "I call" responded Steicke as he slid a stack of grey 1000-chips into the pot plus the additional few thousand.

As the crowd gathered and the railbirds leaned as far as they could, the river peeled the {K-Spades}. Steicke stared at the board intently though his Clark Kent-like glasses as the clock again ticked down. With only a second to spare Steicke tapped the table indicating a check, and while shuffling chips in his left hand, JC Tran announced all in.

Instantly Steicke announced call, stood up from his chair and tabled {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs} for flopped quads! Tran shook his head and dropped his cards near the muck. As the dealer reached over to muck them, Steicke asked to see the hand that propelled him to the chip lead. The dealer obliged turning over Tran's {3-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} for an under-pair bluff.

As Steicke raked in the pot sending him to over 320,000, Tran stood up and headed to consult his entourage of Nam Le, Quinn Do and Novermber Nine final tablist David 'Chino' Rheem. Running into quads didn't cripple Tran as he now sits with a still healthy 160,000.

Shakattack

Dan Shak
Dan Shak
David Steicke raised to 8,000 on the button with Andrew Robl and Dan Shak making the call in the blinds.

The flop landed {A-Diamonds}{K-Spades}{4-Diamonds} and action checked to Steicke, who followed up with a continuation bet of 12,000. Robl then check-raised to 34,000 and the action was with Shak. He announced another raise, coming over the top of both players for all of his 190,000 chips.

Steicke folded and the countdown was on Robl, who used up his full thirty second time bank. When the count reached zero, he hadn't come to a decision and his hand was declared dead. Shak collected a nice pot and is now up to over 250,000 chips, which is near the top of our chip count leaderboard.

Seidel Puts on the Squeeze

Erik Seidel
Erik Seidel
JC Tran limped from the cutoff and Masa Kagawa followed on the button. Bill Jordanou completed from the small blind, but Seidel ruined the party when he made it 15,000 to go in the big blind. His raised thinned the field by one, as Tran and Kagawa called but Jordanou got out of the way.

The flop was {10-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} and Seidel led out for 25,000. Tran folded and Kagawa made the call.

The turn brought the {Q-Spades} and Seidel fired again for another 30,000. That was too rich for Kagawa and he gave up the fight. Seidel is looking strong with 220,000 while Kagawa is down to 53,000.

Hennigan's Bullets Avoid Antonius' Set

John Hennigan raised to 9,000 from middle position and Patrik Antonius made the call in the small blind.

The flop came down {10-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} and Antonius checked to Hennigan, who bet 12,500. Antonius flat-called. The turn was the {Q-Hearts} and both players checked taking a free {9-Hearts} on the river. Antonius bet out 27,000 and Hennigan made the call.

Hennigan showed {A-Hearts}{A-Clubs}, but Antonius had flopped a set with his {3-Clubs}{3-Spades}. Hennigan avoided losing his whole stack and falls to 119,000 while Antonius now up to 198,000.

Power of Steicke Eliminates The G

Tony G Eliminated
Tony G Eliminated
Tony G raised to 9,000 from the cutoff and David Steicke put in another three-bet to 27,000 on the button. Guoga moved all in for roughly 40,000 and Steicke made a pot-committed call.

Guoga: {A-Hearts}{10-Clubs}
Steicke: {K-Spades}{5-Spades}

The flop paired up Steicke when it fell {J-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}, and Guoga couldn't catch up on the {6-Clubs} turn and {4-Spades} river. The power of Steicke eliminated Guoga in 17th place and play has now been reduced to two tables.
