A Disappointing End to a Tough Day

Andreas Glannbro drew a tough starting table for his 2009 Aussie Millions Main Event. He sat down to the likes of Raymond Rahme, Ali Khalil, Martin Comer and Tony G. He wasn't able to get much traction in the early going. Perhaps getting frustrated, he finally decided to make a stand on a board of {7-Diamonds} {8-Spades} {5-Hearts}. He checked to Comer, who led out for 3,000, then he check-raised all in for a total of 9,850. Comer made the call with a drawing hand, {A-Hearts} {6-Spades}, that turned out to be ahead of Glannbro's {J-Spades} {9-Spades}. The {A-Clubs} on the turn gave Comer top pair and left Glannbro drawing at the three remaining sixes in the deck. He didn't hit any of them; the river blanked {7-Clubs} to send Glannbro to the rail.
