Perry Friedman limped from early position and with it folding round to Alexander Kostritsyn on the button he raised to 600 with Josh Malone making the call in the big blind as Friedman passed.

The flop fell down {8-Spades}{J-Spades}{6-Diamonds} and Malone led out for 1,600 and was immediately re-raised to 4,000 by Kostritsyn with Malone making the call. The turn fell the {4-Hearts} and following Malone's check, Kostritsyn led out with a bet of 6,550. Malone proceeded by shipping it all in putting Kostritsyn to a decision for his tournament life.

With only a few thousand left, Kostritsyn made the call tabling {K-Hearts}{K-Clubs} to be ahead of Malone's flush draw and overcard with {A-Spades}{Q-Spades}, but when the {4-Spades} on the river landed a flush for Malone, the defending champ was sent to the rail.

As he packed his belongings he swapped a kind few words with Michael Chrisanthopoulos and a long handshake before he exited the tournament floor.
