Con Angelakis Eliminated in 4th Place ($1,250 AUD)

Con Angelakis got the last of his money in on third street with a split pair of aces. Leo Boxell held a buried pair of kings. Boxell hit a five on fourth and another five on fifth to give him two pair. Angelakis failed to improve better than a pair of aces and was sent to the rail.

He'll take home $1,250 AUD for his 4th-place finish. Boxell moved up to 122,000 chips.

Smyth Storming Back

Peter Smyth just won another sizable pot from Vincent Wan. Wan's board read (X-X){6-Clubs}{A-Spades}{8-Hearts}{4-Spades}(X) and Smyth's read (X-X){9-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{6-Hearts}(X). Wan called bets on third, fourth and fifth. Sixth street was checked and then Wan folded to Smyth's bet on seventh.

Smyth showed that he had {A-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}{J-Spades} in the hole for two pair. He's now on 130,000 chips.

Peter Smyth just doubled up with a full house, queens over jacks, through Vincent Wan. Wan had a pair of tens to start and Smyth a pair of queens. The money went in on third street.

Smyth hit two pair on fifth and then a full house on sixth to ensure the double up to 83,000.

Vincent Wan just scooped an 80,000-chip pot against Leo Boxell when his two pair was good against Boxell's pair of aces. Wan was surprised that his hand was good, but couldn't get away from it he said. Boxell is down to about 120,000 chips and Wan up to 275,000.

Vic Thorton is the Bubble Boy

Vic Thorton put the last of his money in with a pair of eights against Con Angelakis' flush draw on fifth street. Thorton went on to make two pair with eights and fives on seventh street, but that's also when Angelakis hit his club flush.

Thorton finished in fifth place as the bubble boy, while Angelakis moved up to 107,000 chips.
