Roberts Rolls Over Lechich

Brian Roberts may be a Texas Longhorns fan, but it was more like Alabama's Roll Tide as he powered over Tino Lechich in straight sets.

The final hand of heads up had Lechich move all in with {j-?}{9-?} on the turn with the board reading {10-Clubs}{4-Spades}{4-Clubs}{j-Hearts}. Robert's made a quick call with {Q-Clubs}{q-Hearts}. The board bricked the {5-Diamonds} to advance Roberts.

Retallick Draws It Out

Gary Retallick has extended the already long running second rubber that he is playing against Michael Watson.

Retallick has a 1-0 lead in the match, but was on the ropes for a good while in the second rubber. He got his chips all in behind with {k-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} against {A-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}.

Retallick would spike the {k-Hearts}{6-Spades}{8-Hearts} flop, and dodge on the {7-Diamonds} turn and {4-Hearts} river to move back to level peggings in the second rubber.

Dani Stern into Round Three

We just caught up with Dani Stern who played a rather quick match against Sandra Retallick.

Stern won 2-0. He said in the first rubber of the match he raised the button with {k-?}{10-?} and Retallick flat called. The flop came {K-?}{2-?}{3-?} and Retallick check-raised all in with {A-?}{j-?}. The board bricked to take Stern into a 1-0 lead.

The second rubber Retallick ran {A-?}{Q-?} into Stern's {8-?}{8-?} preflop and wasn't able to catch up.

Amazingly Sandra Retallick has completed two matches in the time it has taken Gary Retallick to finish one rubber against Michael Watson.

Olsen Takes Charge

Harold Olsen has taken a strangle-hold on the first rubber against Emil Patel.

Olsen's {j-Clubs}{j-Hearts} went all in against the {3-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} of Patel. The board ran out {10-Clubs}{4-Spades}{10-Spades}{2-Hearts}{10-Hearts} to give Olsen a commanding chip lead.

Fabien Geisel just advanced to the second round 2-0 over Harry Demetriou.
