Ivey In Every Hand...

Ivey mixing it up.
Ivey mixing it up.
Phil Ivey likes playing lots of hands of poker, in fact he played all of the last three.

First he raised UTG to 15,000 but folded to Roberto Romanello's 3-bet out of the small blind.

Next Romanello raised the button to 15,000 but folded to Ivey's big blind 3-bet to 70,000.

Finally Ivey raised to 17,000 from the small blind against Tony G. The latter folded to a 25,000 bet on the {Q-Diamonds} {6-Hearts} {5-Hearts} flop.

Small One For Feldman

Andrew Feldman raised preflop on the button to 12,500 and Howard Lederer smooth-called from the big blind.

The {A-Hearts} {A-Diamonds} {7-Clubs} flop was checked by both players, as was the {A-Clubs} turn. The river was the {K-Clubs} and Lederer checked a third time, Feldman bet 21,000 and Lederer folded.

Down Goes Stern

Stern sent packing
Stern sent packing
From the cutoff set, Barry Greenstein raised to 14,000. Action folded over to Dani "Ansky" Stern reraised the pot from the small blind and was all in. Greenstein made the call.

Greenstein: {Q-Spades} {Q-Clubs}
Stern: {K-Diamonds} {9-Diamonds}

The flop came down {Q-Hearts} {J-Spades} {2-Spades} and Greenstein flopped another set. Stern wasn't dead yet though, he did have a gutshot straight draw.

The turn and river were both eights, first the {8-Diamonds} then the {8-Hearts} and Greenstein finished off Stern with his full house. He moved up to a field-leading 475,000 chips.

Shak Comeback

Shak now has some more to work with.
Shak now has some more to work with.
Tony Bloom raised preflop and Dan Shak made the call from the big blind.

Shak check-called a bet of 14,000 on the {A-Diamonds} {2-Hearts} {8-Spades} flop before the {7-Diamonds} turn and {K-Clubs} river were checked down.

Shak showed {A-Clubs} {3-Clubs} which was enough as Bloom mucked.

Shak is up to 195,000.

Stern Insta-mucking

Dani "Ansky" Stern raised to 12,000 from the cutoff and Gus Hansen called from the small blind. The flop came {Q-Diamonds} {8-Diamonds} {2-Clubs}. Hansen was first to act and checked. Stern fired 16,000 and...

"I'll make it 359,000!" announced Hansen, moving all his chips into the middle.

Stern insta-mucked his hand and Hansen picked up the pot. Stern dropped to 65,000.

Hansen Picks One Up from Stern

Dani "Ansky" Stern raised from the hijack seat to 12,000 and Gus Hansen called on the button. Barry Greenstein also called from the big blind. The flop came down {A-Clubs} {9-Hearts} {7-Spades} and Greenstein checked. Stern fired 16,500 and then Hansen called. Greenstein got out of the way.

The turn card was the {4-Clubs} and Stern checked. Hansen checked behind.

The river card completed the board, adding the {K-Clubs}. Both players checked again and Hansen revealed the winning hand with {A-Diamonds} {3-Diamonds}. His pair of aces were best against Stern's {J-Spades} {10-Spades} and he scooped the pot.

Stern dropped back to 200,000 and Hansen moved up to 325,000.
