Two Milli, Two Milli, Two Milli!

Level 22 : 15,000/30,000, 3,000 ante
Darren Kramer
Darren Kramer

Darren Kramer opened to 80,000 from under the gun and found a caller next to act from Antoine Bechara.

With the action on Justin Cohen on the button, he slid out two stacks of chips amounting to a raise of 235,000 as the blinds kicked their cards to the muck.

Kramer paused for a few moments before he announced raise and made it 610,000 straight as Bechara folded.

"Call!" announced Cohen as he pushed three-and-a-bit stacks into the pot as the dealer collected over 1,300,000 in chips and dropped a {6-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{3-Diamonds} flop.

Kramer counted all his chips and announced in his thick South African accent, "686 all-in!"

Cohen dived deep into the think tank as he contemplated a call for roughly half his remaining chips.

Kramer dropped his head down onto his arms as Cohen contemplated more before eventually opting to fold while slipping to 1,450,000 as Kramer climbed to 2,025,000 - the first player of the two-milli mark for the tournament.

Level 22 : 15,000/30,000, 3,000 ante
Jonathan Palmer - 9th place
Jonathan Palmer - 9th place

Martin Drewe made it 60,000 from under the gun. With action on Jonathan Palmer he decided now was his time and moved his remaining 272,000 into the pot. The blinds got out of the way and Drewe made the call.

Drewe: {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}
Palmer: {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}

The board ran out {6-Clubs}{k-Spades}{3-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}, the nines of Drewe holding up.

Jonathan Palmer was sent home in 9th place, taking AUD$15,020 for his troubles.

One Million for Kramer

Level 22 : 15,000/30,000, 3,000 ante

Darren Kramer entered the pot from the hi-jack with a raise to 75,000 as Gabriel Xiourouppa defended his big blind.

The flop of {J-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{9-Spades} saw Kramer's 90,000-chip continuation bet check-folded by Xiourouppa as Kramer happily collected the pot to move to over the 1,000,000-chip mark.

Montgomery Doubles

Level 22 : 15,000/30,000, 3,000 ante

A middle position Gabriel Xiourouppa got out of the way after calling preflop when Scott Montgomery moved allin for 237,200 from the small blind. Montgomery did manage one caller, it was Jonathan Palmer in the big blind.

Montgomery: {a-Hearts}{a-Spades}
Palmer: {a-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}

The board ran out {5-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{7-Spades}{10-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} and Full Tilt Poker Red Pro Montgomery got a much needed double up, moving to 580,000.

Isaac Lau Eliminated in 10th Place (AUD$11,520)

Level 22 : 15,000/30,000, 3,000 ante
Isaac Lau - 10th place
Isaac Lau - 10th place

Isaac Lau entered the pot with a raise to 60,000 only to have Justin Cohen three-bet to 165,000.

The remainder of the players folded only to have Lau respond by instantly sliding his whole stack into the pot at a total of roughly 535,000.

Just as quickly, Cohen made the call to put the local player at risk.

Lau: {K-Hearts}{K-Spades}
Cohen: {A-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}

With Lau needing to fade an ace or a combination of straight and flush draws, the {A-Clubs}{3-Spades}{9-Clubs} flop was the dagger through the heart of Lau's tournament life.

Now trailing, Lau would need to catch one of the two remaining kings in the deck to keep his dream of collecting an Aussie Millions title adrift.

The {4-Hearts} on the turn, followed by the brutally close {Q-Hearts} on the river saw Lau bumped to the rail in 10th place for an AUD$11,520 payday as Cohen climbs to 1,940,000 in chips.

Xiourouppa Aces

Level 22 : 15,000/30,000, 3,000 ante

Gabriel Xiourouppa was involved in all the action of the last hand before the break and then again in the first hand after the break.

Folded to in the cut off Xiourouppa raised to 65,000. With the button and the small blind out of the way, Scott Montgomery woke up in the big blind.

Montgomery moved all-in, with Xiourouppa snap-calling and immediately tabling {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}. Montgomery held a dominated {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}.

The board ran out {5-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{k-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}, good enough for Xiourouppa who takes the pot and chips up to 1,170,000. Montgomery now falls to 300,000. Xiourouppa has again asked PokerNews to dedicate the pot to his three ladies at home.
