Final Table Jitters

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 500 ante

Ben Delaney opened from under the gun and looked rather surprised when he got three callers. Kosta Varoxis called from the button, and both Simon Charette and Waki Waki called out of the blinds.

On a flop of {4-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}, the action checked around to Delaney who was not scared to open for 22,000. Varoxis folded and Charette thought about it for about 30 seconds before folding, as did Waki.

After the hand Charette said he normally would have made a move there but he was suffering from "final table jitters".

Delaney clearly took advantage of this information and took the opportunity to three-bet Charette's button raise of 13,500 to 48,000. Charette looked disappointed and made the fold.

Delaney moved up to 640,000 in chips while Charette slipped to 520,000.

Ben Vinson Eliminated in 7th Place (AUD $15,750)

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 500 ante
Ben Vinson - 7th Place
Ben Vinson - 7th Place

The hits just keep on coming! This time, Simon Charette hit a huge two-outer to eliminate Ben Vinson and we're now down to just six players!

The action folded to Vinson who raised to 9,000 from the hijack position before Charette reraised to 26,000 from the small blind. Vinson shoved for 140,000 total and Charette called, showing down {8-Spades}{8-Clubs} against Vinson's {A-Clubs}{Q-Spades}.

Vinson hit his ace and improved to a bigger two pair on the flop of {A-Diamonds}{K-Spades}{K-Hearts} and nothing changed when the {Q-Diamonds} fell on the turn. However, to Vinson's disgust, the {8-Diamonds} spiked on the river to fill up Charette and eliminate Vinson in seventh place to take home a tidy AUD $15,750 in prize money.

Stuart Macleod-Smith Eliminated in 8th Place (AUD $13,500)

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante
Stuart Macleod-Smith - 8th Place
Stuart Macleod-Smith - 8th Place

Just as Daniel Laidlaw had departed from the Crown Poker Room, the cry of "All in, call" went up once again from the feature table, where Stuart Macleod-Smith had gotten the last of his money into the middle on a flop of {6-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{8-Spades} with {K-Hearts}{8-Hearts}.

The only problem was that Simon Charette had double-fist-pump-snap-called with {K-Spades}{K-Diamonds}. Macleod Smith could only watch as the turn and river ran out {4-Diamonds}, {3-Spades} and Macleod-Smith was sent on his way to pick up AUD $13,500 for finishing in eighth place.

And just like that folks, we're down to our final seven!

Daniel Laidlaw Eliminated in 9th Place (AUD $13,500)

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante
Daniel Laidlaw- 9th Place
Daniel Laidlaw- 9th Place

Aussie online phenom Ben Delaney has been playing an uber-aggressive game throughout the last two days and he's reaped a lot of chips. He's also managed to get lucky as well - a key ingredient to winning tournaments - and this time, Daniel Laidlaw was the latest victim to fall ill to Delaney's rungooditis.

Delaney raised to 8,000 before the flop and Laidlaw shoved all-in for around 120,000. Delaney called, tabling {A-Hearts}{J-Diamonds} which trailed Laidlaw's {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}.

Delaney binked big time on the flop of {J-Clubs}{A-Clubs}{J-Spades} and his full house held all the way as the turn and river bricked out {3-Hearts}, {5-Diamonds}. Laidlaw picks up a healthy AUD $13,500 for his ninth place finish.

Daniel Reijmer Eliminated in 10th Place (AUD $9,000)

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante
Daniel Reijmer - 10th Place
Daniel Reijmer - 10th Place

Daniel Reijmer was amongst the chip leaders at the start of the day, but he's been given the old heave-ho over the space of two hands to depart in 10th place (AUD $9,000).

The action folded to Stuart Macleod-Smith who raised to 10,000 from the hijack position before Waki Waki reraised to 32,000 from the cutoff. Daniel Reijmer called from the button and Macleod-Smith folded before the dealer spread the flop of {9-Spades}{J-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}.

Waki open-shoved and Reijmer snap-called, but to his horror Reijmer discovered that he was at the wrong end of the uber-cooler:

Waki: {A-Hearts}{A-Clubs}
Reijmer: {K-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}

As Cleveland Brown would say, "Ohh, that's naaaasty." The turn and river ran out {J-Clubs}, {Q-Clubs} and Reijmer was left with just 3,500 in chips. He did manage to triple up in the very next hand, but then moved them into the middle before the flop soon after with {6-Hearts}{6-Clubs}, but lost to Ben Vinson's {K-Spades}{10-Hearts} after Vinson rivered a ten on the board of {3-Spades}{J-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{A-Spades}{10-Spades} to send Reijmer to the rail.

The eliminations are coming thick and fast now, with Andrew Jeffreys the most recent player to have hit the rail in 11th place (AUD $9,000).

The action folded to Leo Boxell who raised from the button to 12,000 before Jeffreys shoved from the big blind with {J-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}. Boxell snap-called with {A-Hearts}{A-Diamonds} and the board was spread {3-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{10-Spades}{Q-Spades}, improving neither hand.

Billy Argyros - 12th Place

Full Tilt Red Pro Billy "The Croc" Argyros has surrendered the last of his chips to Ben Delaney in 12th place to collect AUD $9,000.

The action folded to Argyros who raised to 11,000 from the button before Ben Delaney reraised all-in from the big blind. Argyros called, showing down {A-Diamonds}{J-Spades} against Delaney's {A-Hearts}{2-Clubs}, but Belaney binked a deuce on the board of {9-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{2-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}.

Delaney is now up to 410,000 in chips.

The action folded on table 15 to Kosta Varoxis who raised to 9,500 from the button before Tony Dunst reraised to 25,500 from the small blind. Simon Charette folded his big blind, Varoxis shoved and Dunst snap-called.

Varoxis: {6-Spades}{6-Hearts}
Dunst: {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}

Neither hand improved on the board of {Q-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{7-Spades}{2-Clubs} and Dunst was eliminated in 13th place, collecting AUD $5,400 while Varoxis chips up close to 260,000.

Table 15 has now been broken down and from this point onwards, the 12 remaining players are guaranteed at least AUD $9,000.
