Barry Drysdale
Barry Drysdale

Barry Drysdale opened with a raise from the cutoff before Neil Channing three-bet his button.

Drysdale pushed for an additional 93,000 more and Channing made the call.

Drysdale: {A-Hearts}{K-Spades}
Channing: {Q-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}

The {5-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{9-Hearts} flop kept Channing in the lead until the {K-Clubs} spiked on the turn. No help for Channing on the river as the {10-Clubs} fell sending him crashing down to 3,100 as Drysdale soars to 225,000 in chips.

Charlie Combes opened to 4,300 from the button only to have John Eames three-bet to 11,800 from the small blind.

Combes made the call to see a {4-Spades}{J-Diamonds}{J-Clubs} flop spread and a 13,200-chip continuation-bet follow from Eames.

Combes made the call before both players checked the {2-Clubs} on the turn as the {4-Clubs} rolled off on the river.

Sam Vakili Eliminated in 17th Place (AUD$2,015)

Level 12 : 1,500/3,000, 300 ante
Sam Vakili - 17th place
Sam Vakili - 17th place

After recently being crippled, Sam Vakili managed to find a double holding {K-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} against {A-Clubs}{8-Hearts} on a final board of {K-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}.

The next hand, Vakili would again commit what remained of his stack with {5-}{5-} against John Eames' {J-}{10-}.

The {10-}{9-}{8-} flop, followed by a {7-} on the turn and a blank on the river, ended Vakili's tournament in 17th place for an AUD$2,015 payday as Eames climbs to 115,000 in chips.

The river landed the {Q-Hearts} to see Combes double through to 150,000 as Vakili was left crippled with just a few thousand.

Powell Surging

Level 12 : 1,500/3,000, 300 ante

Sam Georges limped in from under the gun and Jack Powell made it 6,200 to go.

Once the action returned to Georges, he made the call to see a {5-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} flop fall and Powell continue for 5,500.

Georges made the call, and then check-called 21,000 when the turn landed the {3-Clubs} before the dealer dropped the {2-Hearts} on the river.

Georges checked and Powell pushed roughly his last 45,000 into the pot to force a fold from Georges as he slipped to 36,000.

With that pot, Powell moves up to 118,000 in chips.
