Gill Forced to Fold

Level 13

Pot Limit Omaha

Oliver Gill opened the cutoff to 6,500 and was met with the lone call from Bruno Portaro from the big blind.

Gill pushed out a 7,000-chip continuation-bet on the {4-Spades}{2-Spades}{7-Spades} flop before Portaro check-raised to 17,000.

Gill deliberated for nearly two minutes before folding as the remaining players headed on break.

Ashby Collects

Level 13

No Limit Holdem

From under the gun, Bruno Portaro made it 7,500 to go with Richard Ashby making the call from the big blind.

Both players checked the {Q-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{6-Hearts} flop as the {6-Diamonds} rolled off on the turn and Ashby fired out 10,100.

Portaro made the call, but when he was confronted with a 19,000-chip bet as the river landed the {8-Clubs}, he was forced to fold.

Dane Coltman Eliminated in 6th Place (AUD$3,400)

Level 13
Dane Coltman - 6th place
Dane Coltman - 6th place

No Limit Holdem

Dane Coltman has just been sent to the rail at the hands of Casey Kastle in sixth place (good for AUD$3,400) and we're now five-handed at this final table as the action continues here in the Crown Poker Room.

The action folded around to Coltman who raised to 6,000 from the small blind before Kastle called from the big blind to see a flop of {10-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{A-Spades}.

Coltman led out for 7,000 and Kastle called before Coltman checked the turn of the {Q-Clubs}. Kastle deliberated before shoving out three stacks of grey T1,000 chips, worth a total of 63,000. Coltman looked perplexed, leaning back in his chair and removing his sunglasses to have a proper look at Kastle, who sat there stoic.

"Why so serious?" Coltman sighed. "Oh well, I call." Coltman committed the rest of his chips (about 55,000), before rolling up {A-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}, well ahead of the {J-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} of Kastle - that is, until the dealer produced the {J-Hearts} on the river.

Coltman threw his hands up into the air in disbelief. "Thanks guys, good game," he muttered before departing the room.

Portaro Flushes Ashby

Level 13

No Limit Holdem

Richard Ashby opened to 6,000 once again and Bruno Portaro smoothed from the button as the dealer dropped a {q-Hearts}{q-Spades}{2-Hearts} flop.

Portaro check-called a 9,000-chip continuation-bet from Ashby as the {j-Hearts} rolled off on the turn.

Taking the lead this time, Portaro cut out a bet of 15,000 with Ashby making the call as the {Q-Clubs} on the river went check, check.

Portaro tabled his {10-Hearts}{4-Hearts} to claim the pot after Ashby quietly slid his cards into the muck.

Portaro Can't Bluff Ashby

Level 13
Richard Ashby
Richard Ashby

No Limit Holdem

Richard Ashby opened to 6,000 from the button as only Bruno Portaro made the call to see a {9-Clubs}{6-Spades}{6-Hearts} flop fall.

Portaro took the lead by tossing in a bet of 11,000 with Ashby smooth-calling as the {j-Diamonds} was checked on the turn.

On the {4-Hearts} on the river, Portaro place in a bet of 22,000 and Ashby ummed and ahhed for a few minutes before making the call.

Portaro tabled his {A-Clubs}{5-Clubs} for a bluff as Ashby's {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} would see him collect the pot to move to 165,000 as Portaro slipped to roughly 130,000 in chips.

Just an Ace

Level 13

No Limit Holdem

On the first hand of the no limit holdem orbit, Oliver Gill entered the pot from early position with a raise to 6,200.

The remaining players passed as Gill flashed his {A-Diamonds}.

"Yeah I know that!" stated Bruno Portaro who folded from the big blind.

Seven Card Stud Hi/Lo

Dane Coltman brought-in, Daniel Ospina raised, Oliver Gill called and Coltman folded before Gill led out on all streets. Ospina went with him all the way, but Gill showed down a full house, sevens full of fives. With no qualifying low hand, Ospina mucked and Gill scooped the pot.
