Ravesi Remains Alive

Level 12

Omaha Hi/Lo

Catching the action with the board reading {K-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} and a healthy pot developing, Paul Ravesi found himself all in against Richard Ashby and Dane Coltman.

On the river, both the active players checked to see Ashby table his {J-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{2-Hearts} to split the side pot for the low against Coltman's {K-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{3-Hearts} for the high.

Ravesi remained alive however when he tabled his {A-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}[5d} to chop the low against Coltman.

Opsina Gets Involved

Level 12

Omaha Hi/Lo

Daniel Ospina has managed to pick up one-and-a-half pots as play continues here at this final table.

The action folded around to Ospina who raised from the button. Dane Coltman called from the button and both players checked the {3-Clubs}{3-Spades}{6-Hearts} flop before Coltman led out on the turn of the {Q-Diamonds}. Ospina quickly called, then opened after Coltman checked the river {10-Spades}. Coltman let his hand go.

In the very next hand, Richard Ashby limped in from early position, as did Ospina from the cutoff before Casey Kastle checked his option from the big blind to go three ways to a flop of {J-Spades}{A-Clubs}{6-Hearts}.

Castle check-folded his hand after a bet from Ashby and a call from Ospina to make it heads-up to the turn of the {4-Hearts}, then Ashby check-called Ospina before both players checked the river of the {5-Clubs}.

Ashby rolled up {A-}{j-}{x-}{x-} for two pair and the high and Ospina showed {A-Hearts}{Q-Spades}{7-Clubs}{4-Spades} for the low. Choppy choppy!

Kastle Flushed with Chips

Level 12

Omaha Hi/Lo

Dane Coltman opened with an under the gun raise to 6,000 and both Casey Kastle and Daniel Ospina made the call from next-to-speak and the small blind respectively.

The {4-Hearts}{4-Spades}{Q-Spades}{J-Spades}{7-Hearts} board was checked down to the river where Kastle cut out a 6,000-chip bet.

Ospina folded, but Coltman made the call, only to muck at the sight of Kastle's {A-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{2-Clubs} for the nut flush.

Coltman Clips Ravesi

Level 12

Omaha Hi/Lo

On a board of {2-Spades}{7-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{j-Spades}, Dane Coltman fired out 6,000 only to have Paul Ravesi two-bet from the cutoff.

Coltman responded with a three-bet to 18,000 and Ravesi made the call as the {6-Diamonds} landed on the river.

Coltman pushed out another 6,000-chip bet and Ravesi folded as Coltman was awarded the pot while moving to 130,000 in chips.

Ashby, Portaro Score a Chopportunity

Level 12

Omaha Hi/Lo

It was five-way action into a flop that read {7-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}; Richard Ashby led out after the flop and Bruno Portaro called before Oliver Gill, Casey Kastle and Paul Ravesi folded to make it heads-up to the turn of the {A-Spades}.

Ashby led out on both the turn and the river and Portaro called both times before showing down {9-Spades}{7-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{3-Spades} for the nine-high straight. Ashby revealed {K-Spades}{6-Spades}{6-Clubs}{5-Spades} for the low and the players chopped up the pot.

Another Chop

Level 11

Limit Holdem

Dane Coltman opened to 5,000 from the cutoff and Paul Ravesi made the call from the small blind before Richard Ashby three-bet from the big.

Coltman capped it at 10,000 and both players made the call to see a {A-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} flop fall.

Ravesi and Ashby checked as Coltman continued for 2,500 before Ravesi two-bet to 5,000. Ashby called and Coltman passed as the {10-Hearts} was checked on the turn before the {7-Hearts} landed on the river.

Ravesi bet out 5,000 and Ashby made the call with his {A-Spades}{9-Clubs} to chop another pot when Ravesi tabled his {A-Clubs}{3-Hearts}.

Kastle, Ashby Chop It Up

Level 11

Limit Holdem

Richard Ashby two-bet to 5,000 and Casey Kastle defended his big blind to see a {8-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{J-Diamonds} flop fall.

Ashby's 2,500-chip continuation-bet was check-called by Kastle, before both players tapped the table when the {7-Hearts} landed on the turn.

As the dealer dropped the {9-Clubs} on the river, Kastle led for 5,000 and Ashby called.

Kastle tabled his {5-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} for a busted flush draw, and Ashby his {A-Diamonds}{10-Spades} to see the pot chopped up.

A Couple More Hands

Level 11

Limit Holdem

Another couple of small hands have played out here as the action continues in this 8-Game Mixed final table.

The action folded to Paul Ravesi who raised from the cutoff; Bruno Portaro was the only caller from the small blind, so it was heads-up to an action-killing flop of {J-Spades}{J-Hearts}{J-Clubs}, which both players checked. Portaro then led out on the turn of the {5-Clubs}, forcing Ravesi to lay down his hand.

A few hands later, Richard Ashby raised from early position and found one caller in Dane Coltman from the big blind. Coltman check-called Ashby's bets on both the flop of {J-Spades}{9-Spades}{6-Hearts} and the turn of the {6-Clubs} before leading out on the river of the {A-Hearts}.

Ashby called, only to slam his hand down on the table after Coltman showed {A-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} for two pair. The action is moving at a mile-a-minute here - who said mixed games were slow?!
