Jordanou Exits

Level 6 : 2,500/5,000, 0 ante

Alexander Kostritsyn entered the pot from the hi-jack with a raise to 15,000 only to be met with a three-bet of 45,000 from Billy Jordanou out of the small blind.

Kostritsyn took his full measure of time before making the call as a {7-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{2-Diamonds} flop landed and Jordanou checked over to the Russian. Kostritsyn slid out a bet of just 28,000, and once Jordanou made the call, the dealer dropped the {7-Spades} on the turn.

Jordanou checked and Kostritsyn pushed in a stack of chips to effectively put Jordanou all in. Near instantly, Jordanou made the call for his last 50,000.

Jordanou: {8-Hearts}{8-Spades}
Kostritsyn: {J-Hearts}{10-Hearts}

With Jordanou trailing, the {6-Diamonds} fell on the river to end his tournament as Kostritsyn climbed to 480,000 in chips.

Obst Flips Karamalikis Out

Level 6 : 2,500/5,000, 0 ante
Jonathan Karamalikis
Jonathan Karamalikis

After Jonathan Karamalikis' failed attempt at knocking out Erick Lindgren, it was now Karamalikis' tournament life on the line with his last 38,000 in the middle holding {A-Diamonds}{K-Hearts} needing to win a flip against fellow Australian James Obst, who was holding pocket sixes {6-Hearts}{6-Spades}.

Unfortunately for Karamalikis, the flop of {9-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} ensured Obst continued flipping well in this tournament leaving Karamalikis drawing dead. Karamalikis was already shaking his opponent's hand when the {7-Spades} fell on the turn, and {9-Diamonds} on the river which also happened to fill Obst's boat.

Obst can now add Karamalikis' chips to his already impressive 645,000-chip stack.

Yu've been raised!

Level 6 : 2,500/5,000, 0 ante

Jonathan Karamalikis opened the action with a raise to 14,000 in middle position. He found a caller in Winfred Yu in late position.

On a flop of {A-Clubs}{J-Spades}{9-Clubs}, Karamalikis fired out a bet of 12,000 from his 85,000-chip stack. Yu went into the tank but when prompted by the dealer that he had 20 seconds to act, Yu announced "raise" and fired out 27,000 in chips. Karamalikis took one more look at his cards before deciding they were not good enough to commit his chips and opted to fold.

Yu is now up to 135,000 in chips, while Karamalikis is now down to 73,000.
