Jacks Rule in this Kastle

Casey Kastle was all in holding {J-Clubs}{J-Hearts} against an unknown opponent who held {A-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}. It was a classic race, with the {9-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} flop allowing Kastle to pull firmly into the lead. The {10-Clubs} turn changed nothing, and neither did the {6-Diamonds} river. Kastle collected the pot and chipped up to 3,300.

"That Was My First Hand"

We stumbled upon Table 29 just in time to see Tam Truong all in for 1,100 holding {K-Spades}{Q-Hearts} against the {A-Diamonds}{J-Clubs} of Jim Collopy.The board ran out {8-Spades}{3-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{8-Clubs} and Truong was left reaching for some rebuy funds.

"That was my first hand," Collopy said with a smile.

Are You Guys Playing?

We have already seen a large number of players walking around the tournament area but so far they don't seem to be playing. Maybe they are waiting for the rebuy period to run out to save money or just getting in some breakfast before sitting down.

Amongst the player we've seen there are some pretty big names like Sebastian Ruthenberg, Florian Langmann, Jim Collopy, Salman Bebehani and Joe Elpayaa.

Fold Equity

In the rebuy levels players are more likely to gamble it up, but getting crazy could get costly. After a raise from middle position to 125 McLean Karr three-bet to 300 from the hi-jack. There were no players in the cut-off and button which brought the action to Mark Teltscher in the small blind. The former EPT London winner four-bet to 825 after which both his opponents quickly folded.

No pure gambling here in the Crown where players are still looking for the best spots. Both McLean and Teltscher are up from their starting stacks but as we all know that could change within minutes.

Moorman Runs Into the Ladies

With two limpers in front of him, Chris Moorman raised to 250 from the button. The blind quickly got out of the way while the original limper moved all in for 2,150. The other limper folded and Moorman made a quick call.

Showdown
Moorman: {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}
Opponent: {Q-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}

Moorman just shook his head, knowing a rebuy was likely in his future. Sure enough, the board ran out and uneventful {3-Spades}{K-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}{4-Hearts} and Moorman was left with just 200 in chips.

They're Back

We can confirm that Oliver Speidel and Randy Dorfman, last year's defending champ and runner up respectively, are both in today's field. Dorfman was a late registrants who joins a tough table that includes Chris Moorman and Dominykas Karmazinas.

More Big Names

The tables in the Crown Poker Room are slowly filling up and we found some more interesting players. Registration will remain open for a while so we will probably see more player join as time goes on.
