Hunter and Cheong Gone

Manig Loeser opened for a raise to 1,600 and a short-stacked Kent Hunter found himself all in from the small blind.

Showdown
Hunter: {Q-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}
Loeser: {K-Hearts}{J-Clubs}

Hunter was looking for some help, which he found on the {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds} flop. The {10-Clubs} turn improved him to a boat and meant he just needed to dodge a king and the last ten headed to the river. Unfortunately for him, the {K-Clubs} spiked on the river to give Loeser a bigger full house and the win.

Meanwhile, Joseph Cheong was eliminated after his {10-}{10-} was downed by the {A-}{Q-} of Mike Watson, the latter increasing his stack to 45,000.

Quoss Doubles Through Collopy

Fabian Quoss got all in preflop holding {Q-Clubs}{10-Clubs} and was behind the {A-Clubs}{9-Clubs} of Jim Collopy. Quoss was behind and in need of some help, which he found on the {J-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds} flop. The {10-Spades} turn gave Quoss two pair, but also provided Collopy with an open-ended straight draw. Luckily for Quoss, the {2-Diamonds} blanked on the river and he doubled to 17,000.

Triple Treat for Stavropoulos

Jim Collopy raised to 1,600 under the gun, Scarfe decided to three-bet to 4,200 and Manny Stavropoulos shoved all-in for his last 4,700 chips. Collopy asks if he can re-raise and the dealer says he can't. Both players call giving us side pot action on the flop.

On a {Q-Hearts}{K-Hearts}{5-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} flop the hand went check-check and Collopy showed {4-Diamonds}{4-Spades}. Scarfe mucked his cards but Stavropoulos showed {K-Clubs}{K-Diamonds} and claimed the pot.

Trouble for Karamalikis

Things are not going the way of Australian poker super star Jonathan Karamalikis who has just been knocked down to just 15,000 chips. From the hi-jack Karamalikis decided to raise to 1,200 and Collopy, from the button, and Andrew Scarfe, from the big blind, decided to call.

The flop brought out {9-Clubs}{3-Spades}{4-Spades} and Scarfe checked to Karamalikis who bet 2,200. Collopy folded and Scarfe decided to raise to 7,200. Karamalikis made it 20,000 and Scarfe shoved for just a bit more. We witnessed the following showdown.

Jonathan Karamalikis{6-Spades}{6-Diamonds}
Andrew Scarfe{4-Hearts}{3-Hearts}

The turn was the {8-Spades} and the river the {A-Clubs} knocking Karamalikis further down. Scarfe is back up to 45,000 and looking healthy.

"Didn't Think Ya Had It in You"

On a flop of {K-Spades}{2-Clubs}{A-Spades}, Fabian Quoss checked to Michael Pedley, who bet 1,800. Quoss made the call, and then check-called a bet on the {7-Diamonds} turn. When the {J-Diamonds} peeled off on the river, Quoss checked, Pedley fired out 5,100, and Quoss folded.

Pedley then showed the {4-Clubs}, which inspired a chorus of "Whoooooaaaaa" from the table.

"I didn't think ya had it in you," Quoss said to his opponent.

Collopy Picks on Karamalikis

In back to back hands Jim Collopy and Jonathan Karamalikis just clashed. The American pro managed to come out on top twice giving him a big stack as we near the final two tables.

On the first hand we caught the action on the flop that read {6-Hearts}{A-Spades}{7-Diamonds}. Collopy, under the gun, check-raised the 3,500 bet to 8,800 and Karamalakis, on the button, folded. On the first next hand Karamalikis raised to 1,200 and the small blind called. Jim Collopy was in the big blind and raised to 3,375. Karamalikis called giving us heads up action on the flop.

The flop brought out {4-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{6-Spades} and Collopy bet 4,875 which got Karamalikis to fold. Collopy took down two pots and is doing very well while Karamalikis seem to be losing some ground.

Rettenmaier Teases Karmazinas

Two of the guys you want at your table just for entertainment value just played a pot against each other. Dominykas Karmazinas check-called a 1,625 bet on the flop which read {K-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{2-Clubs}. The turn was the {8-Clubs} and Karmazinas check-folded when Rettenmaier threw out 4,625.

The Lithuanian was very interested in the German's hand and he slid the hand over. Right before Karmazinas could grab the cards Rettenmaier picked them up and decided to muck. A nice little tease from Rettenmaier who is one of the chip leaders in this event.
