Jason Mercier opened to 600 from middle position, a player called near the button, and Kyle Cheong defended his big blind.
The dealer fanned , and all three players checked. The turn was the , the action checked to the player near the button, and he fired 1,100. Cheong check-raised to 2,800, Mercier folded, and the player called.
The completed the board, and Cheong tanked for a bit before checking. The player moved all in - which was roughly a pot-sized bet - and Cheong immediately folded.

Lee Markholt led out for 2,100 on a board of . His opponent tanked, then raised to 5,500.
"I'm confused," Markholt said after half a minute or so. "And when I'm confused, I usually call."
He indeed called, and his opponent turned over for kings full of eights.
"Wow," Markholt said. "Nice catch."
He mucked, and is down down around the starting stack of 30,000 chips.

We just caught Annette Obrestad in a hand and obviously there was a lot of preflop action going on. The player under the gun had raised to 650 after which Obrestad three-bet from the cutoff. The three-bet size was unclear to us as she had put out a yellow 5,000-chip. The initial raiser wasn't phased by this move as he four-bet to 3,450. Obrestad tanked and called.
The flop brought out and the initial raiser bet 2,625, Obrestad called. On the turn the hit and the initial raiser check-folded to Obrestad's 3,500 bet.
Obrestad is up to around 47,000 chips and doing really well so far.

While Igor Kurganov is trying to win some buy-ins into the $250,000 tournament just few tables over, it's Philipp Gruissem and Niklas Heinecker who are battling it out in the Main Event.
Heinecker raised preflop to 750 from the cutoff and the button called, as did Gruissem from the big blind.
The flop came down and Gruissem checked to Heinecker who bet 1,600. The button folded and Gruissem threw in 625. The 25 and 1,000 chips look quite similar, and Gruissem corrected his mistake.
On the turn and river, the and , both players checked. Heinecker threw his on the table after which Gruissem showed .
"Mr. Bort again," Heinecker smiled, referencing to Gruissem online nickname, "Philbort".
"This guy is running good," Graham Putt added, who's sitting to Gruissem's left.
The Germans are all over the place and so far Gruissem is doing quite alright in the Main Event.

A player opened to 700 in early position, and the action folded to Jan Collado, who defended his big blind. The flop fell , and Collado check-called a 800-chip bet from his opponent.
Both players checked on the turn (), and the river (), and Collado's opponent flipped over for trip aces. Collado mucked his hand, but despite losing the pot, he's doubled his stack since the last time we counted him.
