Six-Bet Jam from Mercier

Level 3 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante

From the hijack seat, Gus Hansen raised to 7,000. Paul Phua reraised on the button and made it 20,000 to go. Then, action fell on Jason Mercier in the small blind, and he went into the tank. Eventually, Mercier put in a cold four-bet to 48,500. Richard Yong quickly folded from the big blind, and Hansen got out of the way. Then, Phua came back over the top with a reraise to 88,000.

Mercier took his time, with his head slightly turned down as he stared straight ahead. Then, his eyes moved up to make contact with the dealer and the words "all in" came from his mouth.

Instantly, Phua ripped his cards up into the air and held them high above his head, almost as though he was trying to press them against the ceiling as he stared at them. He slammed them back down on the table and shook his head. After about 15 seconds of shaking his head, Phua folded, and Mercier won the pot.

Mercier and Quoss Chop One

Level 3 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante

From the cutoff seat, Jason Mercier raised to 6,000. Richard Yong called on the button, Erik Seidel called from the small blind, and Fabian Quoss called from the big blind.

The four players saw the {J-Hearts}{3-Spades}{3-Clubs} flop, and action checked to Mercier. He was the preflop raiser and continued his aggression with a bet of 9,200. After folds from Yong and Seidel, Quoss called to see a turn.

The {K-Diamonds} landed on fourth street, and both players checked to see the {6-Diamonds} fall on the river. Again, both checked, and it was time for a showdown.

Mercier threw over the {A-Hearts} first, to which Quoss responded by tossing over the {A-Spades}. Mercier then tossed over the {10-Diamonds}, and Quoss matched that with the {10-Clubs}. The dealer chopped up the pot, and the table moved along to the next hand.

Esfandiari Doubles Through Robl

Level 3 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante

From the hijack seat, Andrew Robl raised to 7,000. Antonio Esfandiari reraised to 19,000, and action folded back to Robl. Esfandiari only had 7,000 behind, and Robl tanked before putting him all in. Esfandiari quickly called and showed the {A-Spades}{9-Spades}. Robl held the {K-Hearts}{J-Clubs}.

"Babe, your man is all in!" yelled out Esfandiari to his girlfriend on the rail. She then stood up from her chair to watch more closely.

The flop came down {J-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{8-Spades}, and Esfandiari fell behind much to the disliking of his on-looking girlfriend.

The turn put him back in front with the {A-Hearts}, then the {10-Diamonds} landed on the river. Esfandiari won the pot and doubled back to over 50,000.

Nines for Gruissem

Level 3 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante

From early position, Fabian Quoss raised to 7,000. Philipp Gruissem made the call from the cutoff seat, and the dealer spread the {10-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{6-Hearts} flop. Both players checked.

The turn card was the {5-Hearts}, and Quoss checked to his fellow German. Gruissem bet 4,000, and Quoss made the call.

The {3-Diamonds} landed on the turn, and Quoss checked. Gruissem bet 6,000, and Quoss made the call.

Gruissem tabled the {9-Diamonds}{9-Spades}, and Quoss mucked his hand face down.

Rebuy! Kurganov Makes Bloom Reach into His Pocket

Level 3 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante

Igor Kurganov raised preflop and both Tobias Reinkemeier and Tony Bloom called. The flop came down {J-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{J-Spades} and Bloom checked to Kurganov who bet 18,000. Reinkemeier acted rather quickly and raised it up to 47,000 and the action was on Bloom.

"I'm all in," Bloom said after about a minute of pondering.

"This might take a minute," Kurganov responded after 20 seconds after the dealer had counted out Bloom's stack.

The 2004 Aussie Millions Main Event winner was all in for 241,300 and Kurganov had him covered.

"Call," Kurganov announced then and Reinkemeier snap-folded.

Tony Bloom: {K-Clubs}{J-Clubs}
Igor Kurganov: {A-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}

The board ran out {8-Diamonds}, {2-Hearts} and Kurganov took all Bloom's chips.

"I thought you maybe had jack-ten," Bloom said. "I'll rebuy," he added as he kept enjoying his massage like nothing happened.
