O'Dea Looking for Another Deep Run

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Eoghan O'Dea has fond memories of the Aussie Millions Main Event; he finished eighth last year for AU$130,000. He's going well today despite losing a small pot to Mike McDonald.

McDonald opened to 3,500 from under the gun and O'Dea called from a couple of seats along, as did the big blind. The flop came {q-Hearts}{10-Spades}{k-Hearts} and McDonald continued for 7,000. Only O'Dea called to the {4-Clubs} turn where McDonald bet agin, for 16,000. The Irishman was a believer and folded.

Ivey Wins One

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

From under the gun, Phil Ivey raised to 3,800. Julius Colman called from the big blind, and the flop came down {K-Spades}{4-Clubs}{2-Hearts}. After Colman checked, Ivey bet 5,000. Colman folded, and Ivey won the pot.

Antonius Bluffs to Bust

Patrik Antonius
Patrik Antonius

Just before the break, Patrik Antonius left the building after bluffing off his stack to Michael Addamo, who leapt up to 290,000 chips.

Antonius was in the big blind and led the turn with {j-Spades}{5-Spades} before bombing all in for 23,400 on the river of a {2-Clubs}{9-Spades}{7-Clubs}{4-Spades}{10-Hearts} board. The bluff probably would've got through had Addamo not paired up with {j-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}.

Alex Lynskey
Alex Lynskey

Alex Lynskey got the better of the big stacked Alex Antonios to help him triple his stack since the start of the day.

Pete Chen opened the pot with a 3,500 raise from mid position and Antonios called from the button as did Lynskey from the blind. From there on it was all Lynskey as he led for 5,100, 11,500, and 23,200 on a {2-Clubs}{9-Spades}{7-Clubs}{4-Spades}{10-Hearts} board. Cheen checked out on the flop but Antonios waited until the river before he bailed.

River Washes Away Kamutzki

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Heinz Kamutzki got the last of his chips all in on a {4-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} flop and was in great shape to double through Keanu Simpson, who has been climbing the ranks here on Day 2.

Kamutzki: {6-Hearts}{6-Clubs}
Simpson: {3-Diamonds}{3-Spades}

The {10-Clubs} turn meant Kamutzki needed to dodge a three on the river to double, but that proved easier said than done as Simpson spiked the two outer when the {3-Clubs} peeled off. The table reacted harshly while Kamutzki wished everyone good luck and then made a hasty exit from the tournament floor.

"Red Queen. Nothing Stupid."

Billy "The Croc" Argyros
Billy "The Croc" Argyros

With around 10,000 in the pot and a flop of {3-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{4-Spades}, the player in the small blind checked and Billy "The Croc" Argyros bet 6,500 from middle position. The player on the button then three-bet to 15,500, the small blind folded, and Argyros thought for a few moments before just calling, which left him with 14,900 behind.

After the dealer burned and turned the {3-Diamonds}, Argyros quickly grabbed his chips and tossed them in the middle. The button considered the all-in shove for about 40 seconds and then put in a call.

Argyros: {j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}
Button: {6-Clubs}{8-Clubs}

"I put you on clubs," Argyros explained. "Red Queen. Nothing stupid."

The dealer obliged and put out the {6-Spades}. The black card made Argyros do a double take, but then he pointed at his cards and said, "This is the winning hand. Let's go."

Argyros was clearly excited to score the double. After he retook his seat he explained why he had just called the flop.

"I just wanted to see if a club came," he said. "If a club didn't come I was jamming."
