Chidwick Battles Blind and is Crippled

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Stephen Chidwick's stack dropped below 10k after he doubled up Kane Kalas in a battle of the blinds.

The action folded around to Chidwick in the small blind and he moved all in and Kalas called all in for 29,100 from the big blind.

Chidwick: {j-Hearts}{7-Hearts}
Kalas: {a-Hearts}{5-Clubs}

The board ran {2-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{6-Spades}{2-Clubs}{6-Hearts} to see the American's hand hold up.

The Croc Snaps a Double

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Billy Argyros got a scare in a hand versus Grant Levy but was soon roaring in celebration at doubling up.

He had pocket aces and found a willing customer in Levy holding pocket queens. The window card was a queen but the board ran {10-Spades}{a-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} to make Argyros top set and a safe double up.

It's the Guillotine for Guillen

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante
Angel Guillen
Angel Guillen

Mexican pro Angel Guillen opened the action with a raise from the hijack and action folded to Raiden Kan in the big blind. He opted to put his big stack to good use by moving all in, but it didn't shake Guillen who called off for approximately 53,000.

Guillen: {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds}
Kan: {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}

Guillen got it in good, but the {7-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{9-Clubs} flop paired Kan to make him a heavy favorite. The {3-Spades} turn left Guillen in need of a jack to stay alive, but it wasn't in the cards as the useless {3-Hearts} paired the board on the river.

Savill and Sui Depart Early

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Sterling Savill was unlucky to bust after he got his chips in dominating his opponent Isaac Lau. All the chips went in pre flop.

Savill: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}
Lau: {a-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}

The board ran {4-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{6-Hearts} to send Savill to the rail.

Shortly after, Mei Kat Siu committed her stack with ace-ten but couldn't come from behind to beat Keanu Simpson's queens.

Hinreichsen Ousts Zhu; O'Rourke Loses Race

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

There's been a flurry of eliminations here in the opening minutes of Day 3.

In the most recent, a short-stacked Jing Zhu got his last 8,200 all in preflop holding the {q-Spades}{6-Diamonds} and was up against the {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds} of Andrew Hinrichsen. The {9-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} flop gave Hinrichsen a set, and the {A-Spades} turn officially left Zhu drawing dead.

Meanwhile, Liam O'Rourke got his stack of 50,000 or so all in preflop holding the {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts} and was flipping against the {q-Clubs}{q-Spades} of Gregory Goldberg. O'Rourke needed to improve to stay alive, but that proved easier said than done as the board ran out a dry {10-Clubs}{9-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{5-Hearts}.

The board ran {a-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds} to make Hsu two pair.
