Farrell Finds Queen

Level 7 : 300/600, 75 ante

Coming off a win at EPT12 Malta late last year, the UK's Niall Farrell appears to be running just about as well Down Under.

He got one short stack all in with the {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds} versus the {j-Diamonds}{j-Spades} and spiked a queen on the river to bust her.

Farrell is now sitting on 28,000 and climbing fast.

Loeser is Lost

Level 7 : 300/600, 75 ante

Manig Loeser three-bet shoved out of the blinds only for the initial raiser to quickly call with the {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}. Loeser held {9-Spades}{9-Clubs} and picked up a flush draw on the turn {7-Spades}{2-Spades}{10-Clubs}{3-Spades}, but the {2-Diamonds} river blanked. The German was left with just one big blind after the hand.

Vinecombe Recovering Some

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

On the {2-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{A-Clubs}{9-Spades}{3-Clubs} river, Joseph Vinecombe checked out of the small blind with a far smaller stack than previously spotted and the player in the big blind bet 600. Vinecombe then announced a raise to 2,500 but tossed in 4,500 worth of chips instead. As the verbal announcement counts, it stood as 2,500 and the opponent reluctantly called with {3-Spades}{9-Clubs} for a nine-high flush.

Vinecombe flipped over {K-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} and took down the pot to recover some chips. The table now also features Geoffrey Mooney.

Setbacks for Fish and Wang

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

Darryll Fish faced a bet of 4,500 by his table neighbor on the river of a board reading {A-Spades}{K-Spades}{2-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{9-Clubs} and reluctantly called. The player on the button rolled over {J-Spades}{9-Spades} for a busted flush draw that became trips and that won the pot.

Two tables over, the cards of Wenlin Wang were already in the muck as well. An opponent had doubled through the Chinese with pocket aces on a board of {2-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{K-Spades}{3-Clubs}{J-Clubs} and Wang was asked by the dealer to pay off 9,450 for the all in.

Heptinstall's Queens no Good

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

Ben Heptinstall's pocket queens were the reason for almost half of the stack vanishing when the Aussie entered a three-way all in showdown. Two other players were involved with {K-Spades}{K-Clubs} and {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}. The flop {K-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}{A-Hearts} was a disaster for Heptinstall and he even lost the side pot after the {6-Hearts} turn and {9-Clubs} river to lose around 8,600 chips in total.

Sreenivasan's Squeeze Works

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

The player in the hijack limped in and Purusothaman Sreenivasan raised to 1,150 from the button. The player in the big blind as well as the limper both came along and headed to the three-way flop of {3-Hearts}{3-Spades}{Q-Hearts}. The action was checked to Sreenivasan and he bet 1,800.

The hijack check-raised to 4,000 and Sreenivasan slowly but carefully reached into his chips, then announced a raise and gently put in one yellow and three blue chips for a raise to 8,000. His opponent gave it some thought for around 30 seconds and elected to fold.
