Aces for Aydogan

Level 22 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Phachara Wongwichit raised from under the gun and Sinan Aydogan three-bet to 145,000 from one seat over. Wongwichit set him in and Aydogan snap-called with the {A-Spades}{A-Clubs}. Wongwichit was in desperate shape with {A-Diamonds}{K-Hearts} and just one king on the board {K-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{8-Spades} was not enough.

The double up for Aydogan was worth 481,000 and that's almost half of the stack of Wongwichit.

Blackwood Jams into Dahl's Aces

Level 22 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante
Jacob Elmore Dahl
Jacob Elmore Dahl

Kevin Blackwood raised from early position and Jacob Elmore Dahl three-bet to 123,000 out of the small blind. Blackwood called and then faced a contination bet worth 161,000 by Dahl on the flop {3-Spades}{8-Hearts}{10-Spades}. Blackwood moved all in and was snap-called within a matter of seconds.

Dahl: {A-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}
Blackwood: {5-Spades}{5-Diamonds}

The back door flush draw of Blackwood was gone when the {Q-Clubs} hit on the turn and the massive pot was shipped to Dahl after the {8-Clubs} river completed the hand.

Game Over for Paton

Level 22 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante
Ryan Paton
Ryan Paton

Ryan Paton was a cat with nine lives, at least it appeared so. But ultimately, he could not dodge the pocket aces of Kevin Blackwood. While Paton was all in preflop again, Blackwood and Alexandre Thomas saw the flop {2-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}. Blackwood cut out a bet and his opponent already said that it was good enough and he'd fold.

Blackwood: {A-Clubs}{A-Spades}
Paton: {9-Hearts}{6-Clubs}

Paton was asking for running sixes, but all hopes of another miracle were destroyed when the {K-Hearts} came on the turn. The {K-Spades} river was meaningless and just a formality. Now the remaining 18 players will be balanced over the last two tables.

Paton Chops for Tournament Life ... Again

Level 22 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Michael Seymour raised to 50,000 and Ryan Paton called all in for 27,000 from the small blind. Kevin Blackwood called out of the big blind and both active players checked down the board {A-Spades}{4-Clubs}{K-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}. Paton showed {10-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} and Blackwood had the {10-Clubs}{7-Hearts}, Seymour mucked!

Paton Doubles Again

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Having previously doubled up and chopped, Ryan Paton now moved all in for 32,000 from early position. Michael Seymour raised to 90,000 to isolate successfully with the {Q-Hearts}{J-Clubs} and Paton was ahead with his {A-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}. The board blanked, showing {2-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{7-Clubs}{8-Spades} and Paton moved up to five big blinds.

Thomas Busts van Hoof

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante
Marc van Hoof
Marc van Hoof

From under the gun, Alexandre Thomas raised to 40,000 and Marc van Hoof moved all in for 270,000. Thomas quickly tossed in a T-25,000 chip for the call and was in excellent shape to knock out one opponent on the way to the final table tomorrow.

Van Hoof: {9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}
Thomas: {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}

There was no hope on the board {A-Spades}{7-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{A-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} and van Hoof was sent to the rail in 20th place.

Paton Ships It To Au

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Ryan Paton opened under the gun and Kim Au shoved the big blind.

Having Au just barely covered, Paton made the call with the {k-Hearts}{j-Hearts} but was miles behind Au's {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}.

The case king came on the {k-Spades}{3-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} board and Paton had next to nothing left after the hand.

The King Giveth, the King Taketh Away

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Only a few minutes ago, Phachara Wongwichit and Navid King clashed and the two were at it again just now. King had shoved from early position and Wongwichit isolated from the button to get folds all around.

"Are we flipping?" Wongwichit asked and then turned over his cards, King nodded.

King: {10-Clubs}{10-Hearts}
Wongwichit: {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs}

The flop {6-Spades}{J-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} and the {6-Clubs} turn changed nothing, but the {K-Diamonds} river sent King to the rail in 21st place.
