Tollerene the First to Fall But Promptly Reenters
Ben Tollerene was never able to recover after losing a big pot to Phil Ivey in Level 1; in fact, the online pro just became the first casualty of the tournament.
It happened when he opened for 1,400 from the cutoff and Fedor Holz pushed back with a three-bet to 4,600 from the small blind. Tollerene made the call and then called a bet of 3,300 on the ![]()
![]()
flop. After the dealer burned and turned
, Holz led out for 9,500 and Tollerene called.
The
river saw Holz toss out two green T25,000 chips for a bet of 50,000, and Tollerene thought for a bit before calling off for 38,000 or so. Holz tabled the ![]()
for top pair, and it was good as Tollerene showed the ![]()
before exiting the stage.
Fortunately for Tollerene, this is a reentry event and he immediately opted to pony up another AU$100,000 to get back in action. Interestingly, he's back at the feature table, though this time in Seat 8.
