Tollerene Doubles His Starting Stack

Level 3 : 200/400, 50 ante

We saw online poker star Ben Tollerene sitting with a mountain of chips — nearly 100,000 in fact — and he was kind enough to tell us how he got them.

It happened when his opponent raised to 1,100 from the button and Tollerene three-bet to 3,200 from the big blind. The button then four-bet to 8,000, Tollerene moved all in, and his opponent called off.

Tollerene: {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}
Opponent: {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}

It was a flip, and Tollerene fell behind on the {k-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{q-Spades} flop. Fortunately for him, he was saved when the dealer burned and turned the {10-Hearts}. The {Q-Diamonds} river failed to change a thing, and Tollerene sent his opponent to the rail while being pushed the biggest pot of the tournament through three levels.

Buddiga Wins a Small One

Level 3 : 200/400, 50 ante

On a flop of {8-Spades}{6-Clubs}{4-Clubs} it was Michael Egan who checked from the big blind. Pratyush Buddiga in the cutoff made a bet of 1,800 and Egan called. The both of them checked the {4-Diamonds} on the turn and the {K-Diamonds} completed the board. Egan checked and Buddiga made a bet of 4,500. Egan called, but mucked after being shown {K-Hearts}{6-Hearts} for two pair.

Rossiter Takes Some From Addamo

Level 3 : 200/400, 50 ante

Jeff Rossiter and Michael Addamo just clashed in a blind battle, when the flop showed {Q-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{4-Spades}. Rossiter bet 1,600 from the small blind and Addamo called, putting the {7-Spades} on the turn.

Rossiter bet another 4,300 on the turn and Addamo tanked for a while before making the call.

The river brought the {10-Spades} and Rossiter announced a bet of 11,500. Addamo tanked for a while before folding and Rossiter picked up this pot.

Kornuth Loses a Little More

Level 3 : 200/400, 50 ante

Dietrich Fast opened for 400 from the hijack and Chance Kornuth called from the button. Paul Newey then three-bet to 2,700 from the small blind, Fast folded, and Kornuth called to see the {k-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{7-Hearts} flop. Newey fired out 3,100, and it did the trick as Kornuth flicked his cards to the muck.

Kornuth Loses Some to Fast

Level 3 : 200/400, 50 ante

Dietrich Fast opened the action with a raise to 900 and Chance Kornuth on the button made the call. Paul Newey folded from the small blind, Martin Finger made the call from the big blind .

Finger checked on {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts}{Q-Clubs} and so did initial raiser Fast. Kornuth made a bet of 1,600 and Finger instantly folded. Fast made the call and checked on the {Q-Hearts} turn. Kornuth checked behind and the {J-Spades} completed the board. Fast bet out 3,500 and Kornuth called. Fast showed {J-Diamonds}{Q-Spades} and Kornuth mucked.

The next hand saw Dietrich Fast open again to 900, this time from first position. Chance Kornuth three-bet to 2,600 from the cutoff and the action folded back to Fast. The German player four-bet to 6,900 and Kornuth called in position.

The flop came {3-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{5-Hearts} and Fast bet out 8,500. Kornuth called. The {2-Spades} fell on the turn and would be the last card the two players saw as Fast moved in and Kornuth folded.

He Drops Some to Yan

Level 3 : 200/400, 50 ante

The flop showed {5-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{4-Diamonds} when Timo He checked from the under-the-gun position to [Removed:17] who bet 1,000 from the button. He check-raised to 2,600 and Yan made the call.

The turn was the {8-Spades} and He bet 5,500, which was called by Yan.

The river completed the board with the {K-Spades} and now both players checked. He showed {A-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} and he had missed his big draw to give Yan the win holding {A-Clubs}{4-Clubs}.

De Silva the First to Go

Level 3 : 200/400, 50 ante
Upeshka De Silva
Upeshka De Silva

The tournament has lost its first player from the 2016 Aussie Millions $25,000 Challenge.

We picked up action on the river, but fortunately the victor, Michael Addamo, filled us in on some details. According to him, Upeshka De Silva raised from the hijack, the player in the small blind called, and Addamo squeezed from the big blind. Only De Silva called and then Addamo fired every street as the board ran out {2-Spades}{q-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{6-Hearts}.

De Silva called every step of the way, which included calling off his last 20,000 or so when Addamo shoved the river. Addamo tabled the {10-Clubs}{10-Spades} for a flopped set, and it was good as De Silva flashed the {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} before heading for the exit.
