Warne Super Short After Cooler

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

As we reported earlier Shane Warne recently flopped a set to secure a big double up but now he’s peddling around five big blinds after a preflop raising war with Matthew Wakeman.

Warne opened the action with a raise to 6,000 before Wakeman played back at him for 20,000. After a four-bet from Warne to 56,000 Wakeman pushed all in over the top and Warne called it off to see the bad news.

Warne had run his pocket kings into Wakeman’s pocket aces and failed to improve leaving Warne’s stack decimated and Wakeman as one of today’s frontrunners.

"The Croc" One-Outers Gjelstad

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante
Billy Argyros
Billy Argyros

Having just doubled up Shane Warne with an over pair to a flopped set, Jonas Gjelstad would endure a horrendous beat to bust just a minute or so later.

Gjelstad opened for 5,500 and Billy "The Croc" Argyros called in position. Big blind Shane Warne came along to make it three-way to the flop.

Warne checked on {2-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}{J-Spades} and Gjelstad bet 7,000. Argyros raised to 18,000 which was enough to get rid of Warne. Gjelstad wasn't giving up so easily, though, and he shoved all in for 32,000. Argyros called.

Jonas Gjelstad: {J-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}
Billy Argyros: {2-Diamonds}{2-Spades}

Things were looking bleak for Argyros as he was drawing to a single out to knockout Gjelstad.

The {Q-Spades} on the turn didn't change anything but the {2-Hearts} on the river sure did!

"Wow" and "Ahhh"'s could be heard all over and players came from other tables to take a look. Three players took their phones out to snap a picture of what had happened, Gjelstad being one of them.

The one-outer did Gjelstad in, from an average stack to out in a matter of minutes. Argyros, meanwhile, is sitting comfortably on a stack of around 170,000.

Rail for Ruzicka

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

The Aussie Millions Main Event dream is over for 2016 November Niner Vojtech Ruzicka after he ran into Peter Aristidou’s pocket aces.

Ruzicka found himself all in preflop for approximately 50,000 and needing some help to stay alive.

Ruzicka: {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}
Aristidou: {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}

While Ruzicka was given a glimmer of hope when he spiked a set on the {10-Spades}{8-Spades}{k-Clubs} flop, the board ran out with the {4-Clubs} turn and {a-Clubs} river to see Aristidou improve to a better set on the end. Ruzicka was sent reeling to the rail while Aristidou stacked his newfound chips.
