Abdulnour Doubles Moss; Busts After

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Over on the feature table, Matthew Moss raised from under the gun and Joseph Abdulnour called in the hijack. On the {J-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{3-Spades} flop, Moss continued for 10,000 and Abdulnour shoved for 95,000, which had Moss covered. The Brit, 21st-place finisher in the 2016 WSOP Main Event, called and the cards were turned over.

Matthew Moss: {A-Hearts}{A-Spades}
Joseph Abdulnour: {K-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}

The {3-Clubs} turn and {K-Spades} river ensured the double up for Moss while Abdulnour was left with very few chips not far away from the money bubble. Soon after he was all in for just 13,000 with the {4-Hearts}{4-Clubs} and Jonathan Karamalikis had the dominating {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds}. There was no surprise on the board {6-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} and Abdulnour was eliminated.

Big Stacks at the Break

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Stonehouse Doubles; Next Break Underway

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

After a raise by Glen Cymbaluk, David Stonehouse got his last 31,000 in from the small blind and Cymbaluk called with the {Q-Hearts}{9-Hearts}. Stonehouse, sporting a hoodie of the iconic Hippodrome Casino in London, had the {A-Clubs}{Q-Spades} and dodged a sweat on the board of {7-Clubs}{7-Spades}{6-Spades}{8-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}.

Soon after the players were sent into their next 15-minute break and there are just 98 hopefuls remaining.

Zhang's Set Scores Vital Double

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Jack Brown raised to 11,000 and Bobby Zhang called on the button. Both players checked through a flop of {A-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} and Brown also checked the {Q-Hearts} on the turn. Zhang bet 17,500 before he faced a check-raise to 40,000, which he called. On the {3-Spades} river, Brown checked and Zhang moved all in for his last 121,500, Brown snap-called.

Zhang as last aggressor was first to show his {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds} for a set and Brown mucked to forfeit a decent portion of his stack.

Grammer Wins Raising War With Koren

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Artur Koren opened under the gun for 9,000 and Ross Grammer made it 30,000 in the cutoff. Koren put in another raise to what we think was 80,000. Grammer thought about 90 seconds and then shoved all in for around 200,000. Koren quickly mucked and turned over the {2-Hearts}.

Zwies Downed by Rajamurthy

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Kabeelan Rajamurthy raised to 9,000 and Craig Zwies made it 21,000 to go from one seat over. Rajamurthy moved all in and Zwies called it off to put himself at risk.

Craig Zwies: {A-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}
Kabeelan Rajamurthy: {J-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}

While Zwies took the lead on the {K-Spades}{8-Spades}{5-Clubs}, his fortune lasted all but one card as the {J-Spades} turn left him drawing dead. A meaningless {4-Spades} river completed the board and Zwies quickly left the tournament area.

Clarke Elimination Blasts Pezzaniti Near the Chip Lead

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante
Frank Pezzaniti
Frank Pezzaniti

Frank Pezzaniti limped in on the button, the small blind completed and James Clarke checked in the big blind. The {K-Spades}{5-Spades}{9-Hearts} flop got checked to Pezzaniti, who bet 5,000. The small blind folded, but Clarke had a different plan and check-raised to 26,000.

Without hesitation, Pezzaniti put in a hefty three-bet to 116,500. Clarke went into the tank for a minute, then four-bet shoved all in for 289,000. Pezzaniti, who had 367,000 behind, snap-called. Just like that, a 150 big blind pot was created 14 spots away from the bubble.

James Clarke: {K-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}
Frank Pezzaniti: {5-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}

The moment Pezzaniti snap-called, Clarke flung his chair back, as he knew he was doomed. The local had Clarke's top pair completely crushed and clapped his hands in excitement. The Brit's 1.5x average stack was on the verge of being wiped out, and the {2-Hearts} on the turn and {8-Spades} on the river didn't provide any help. WIth the pot, Pezzaniti is now close to the chip lead.

Clarke Shows One After Long Tank

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Frank Pezzatini made a pot-sized bet of 26,000 from the big blind on {4-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{3-Hearts}. James Clarke was in early position and shoved all in. It was 239,000 and Pezzatini tanked for a long time. After about five minutes, someone called a clock. Pezzatini folded in short order and Clarke flipped over the {a-Hearts}.

Tartaglia on the Move

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Over on table 10 there is one stack of half a million and that belongs to no other than Tony Tartaglia. When asked how the Aussie got there, he replied "I had a full house against him, actually a couple of big hands with him," and pointed to Glen Cymbaluk.

Arne Ruge is also nearing half a million with Eddie Puia, Artur Koren and Szymon Wysocki hot on his heels.
