Solaas Rocketing Higher

Level 23 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Espen Solaas raised to 60,000 on the button and Mike Del Vecchio called in the big blind. Del Vecchio check-called 35,000 on the {6-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{6-Spades} flop and 120,000 on the {k-Diamonds} turn. He came to life on the {j-Clubs} river with a lead of what looked like about 260,000. Solaas thought about a minute and slid in 1.1 million, and the American folded instantly.

Saijes Mundadan
Saijes Mundadan

Over on the feature table, Ari Engel opened to 55,000 with the {Q-Spades}{10-Spades} and Burns in the small blind called with {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds}, Saijes Mundadan in the big blind looked down at {A-Hearts}{10-Clubs} and gave it some consideration before moving all in.

Engel folded and Burns snap-called.

The board ran out {K-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} and the pocket pair remained in the lead to eliminate Mundadan.

Solaas Not Folding Pairs

Level 23 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Three-way action between Artur Koren, Esper Solaas and Mike Del Vecchio arrived on the turn after the flop got checked around. The board read {Q-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{7-Spades}{8-Spades} and Koren bet 105,000. Solaas called and Del Vecchio folded.

On the {K-Spades} river, Koren bet 305,000 and Solaas called without much hesitation. Koren tabled a whiffed {5-Clubs}{3-Clubs} and Solaas, much to Koren's dismay, showed the winner with {Q-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}.
