Hallaert Busts to Schwartz

Level 3 : 100/200, 25 ante

Kenny Hallaert was getting to his feet after being eliminated from the Aussie Millions Main Event.

Holding {a-Spades}{8-Spades} on an ace-high board of {2-Clubs}{3-Spades}{a-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{5-Clubs} he had top pair, but opponent Jake Schwartz had gone runner-runner for a flush with {7-Clubs}{5-Spades} to send the Dutch player to the shortly after the break.

Value For Morgenstern

Level 3 : 100/200, 25 ante

The completed board showed {K-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}{5-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} and Sherif Derias checked over to Anton Morgenstern, who bet 8,500. Derias gave it some thought and called to get shown the {A-Spades}{K-Hearts} for top pair and top kicker. That was enough for Morgenstern to claim the pot and he jumped up further on the leader board.

Derias, who finished 30th in the 2018 Aussie Millions Main Event, remains above the starting stack.

Small Pot for Trewin

Level 3 : 100/200, 25 ante

What started promising with a raise to 700 and four callers ended rather swiftly over on table 47. The flop showed {K-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds} and a short-stacked Kylea Trewin bet 1,300 in the small blind. That ended up winning the pot, as Jerry Wong and Petre Linton were also among those to send their cards into the muck.

Table captain for now is Damian Oklobzija with more than three times the starting stack.

Putt Aghast at Opponent's Hand

Level 3 : 100/200, 25 ante

On a {7-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} board Graeme Putt checked and his opponent bet 2,600. Putt called and the Australian poker Hall of Fame member checked the {5-Spades} river.

His opponent bet 3,700 and Putt called.

His opponent turned over {6-Spades}{8-Spades} for a rivered straight.

"What the f*ck. Are you seeing this sh*t?" mouthed Putt as he mucked his hand.
