Amedi Busts One; Savinelli Doubles

Level 7 : 300/600, 100 ante
Carlo Savinelli
Carlo Savinelli

In one of the first hands after coming back from the break, a short stack jammed for the last 10,950, as the T-25 chips were not colored up yet on table 25. Netanel Amedi in the blinds got his chips in with the slightly superior stack and tabled {Q-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}. He faced {A-Hearts}{J-Hearts} and the board came {8-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{8-Spades} to let Amedi nearly double.

Carlo Savinelli more than doubled after he jammed out of the big blind into a raise to 1,300 by Ryan Leng and a flat-call by Jack Salter on the button. Leng folded and Salter called.

Carlo Savinelli: {A-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}
Jack Salter: {9-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}

"Good luck," Salter wished to Savinelli, who spiked top pair on the {A-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} flop. On the {10-Hearts} turn, Salter asked for the jack of clubs, but realized right away it would be no good. Instead, he now demanded for a nine, and the {8-Clubs} river brought no upset.

Jiang Takes One Without Showdown

Level 7 : 300/600, 100 ante

On the three-way flop of {K-Hearts}{10-Spades}{8-Spades}, only Sosia Jiang in middle position and Evelyne Roy on the button invested 2,000 each. On the {J-Spades} turn, Jiang checked and called a bet of 5,000 before the {A-Spades} river resulted in a bet of 4,000 by Jiang. Roy was not interested in calling and sent her cards into the muck.

Wu Rivers a Royal Flush to Move into the Chip Lead

Level 7 : 300/600, 100 ante
David Wu
David Wu

According to his tablemates, David Wu has been the lucky recipient of a big pot after a three-way all in.

The board read {a-Clubs}{j-}{q-Clubs} when the money went in. One player held {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}, another {k-Hearts}{10-Hearts} for the straight and Wu was drawing with {j-Clubs}{10-Clubs}.

The turn was a brick, but the river {k-Clubs} completed his royal flush. Earlier, Wu also eliminated Anthony March who did the shuffle up and deal on Day 1b bringing his chip stack to almost 200,000 with just over an hour left in the final level of the night.

One German Down; One Up

Level 7 : 300/600, 100 ante

Tobias Ziegler called the shove of a short stack with {A-Diamonds}{J-Spades} and faced {Q-Diamonds}{J-Spades}. The {K-Spades}{10-Spades}{5-Diamonds} flop was a sweat, but the {5-Diamonds} turn and {6-Hearts} river were blanks.

While Ziegler added some chips, fellow countryman Gereon Sowa busted over on table 10. In a battle of the blinds, Sowa had a flip with {10-Spades}{10-Hearts} versus {A-Spades}{K-Hearts} and two kings appeared on the flop. The river brought a fourth spade for the nutflush of the small blind, sending Sowa to the rail.
