Heaver Boosts Stack Without Showdown

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

Greg Heaver raised to 75,000 and was called by Bjorn Ostby in the small blind. David Wang in the big blind squeezed to 325,000 and Heaver moved all in, both opponents folded.

Michael Addamo opened to 60,000 from the cutoff and Ostby flat-called on the button, as did Heaver in the big blind. On a {9-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} flop, action checked to Addamo and he bet 100,000. Ostby folded and Heaver check-raised to 425,000 to force a reluctant fold from Addamo.

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante
Mike Del Vecchio

Norihiro Otani opened to 80,000 and Mike Del Vecchio defended his big blind.

The flop came {2-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} and Del Vecchio check-called 75,000. The turn {6-Spades} was checked by both players.

The river was the {10-Clubs}. Del Vecchio bet 210,000 and Otani quickly fold.

That pot pushed Del Vecchio over the three million chip mark.

Michael Addamo Eliminated in 17th Place (AU$82,000)

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante
Michael Addamo
Michael Addamo

Over on the outer tables, Bjorn Ostby raised to 65,000 first to act and Michael Addamo jammed for 935,000 in the big blind. Ostby had Addamo covered by very few big blinds and made the call.

Michael Addamo: {A-Diamonds}{K-Spades}
Bjorn Ostby: {J-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}

Ostby's rail asked for a jack but quickly changed their mind on the {Q-Spades}{10-Spades}{8-Hearts} flop. Neither the {9-Clubs} turn nor the {6-Spades} river improved Addamo and he was eliminated in 17th place for AU$82,000.

Chip Counts from Feature

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

More for Heaver and Hinrichsen

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

Andrew Theakstone was moved over to the other outer table and proceeded to raise-fold twice, then move all in to claim the blinds and antes. Greg Heaver profited from that the most as he added some more chips to his growing tower.

Over on the other table, Matthew Wakeman took on Andrew Hinrichsen. The latter check-raised the {6-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{K-Clubs} turn from 150,000 to 475,000 and Wakeman reluctantly folded.

Del Vecchio Continues to Dominate

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

On the feature table has sometimes appeared that Mike Del Vecchio has been the only player winning pots.

He's chipped up to the tune of a million chips since the dinner break including a small pot against Simon Chahine.

Del Vecchio limped the small blind and Chahine checked. Del Vecchio bet 30,000 on the {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{5-Spades} flop and his opponent called.

The pair checked the {9-Hearts} turn and the river was the {4-Hearts}. Del Vecchio bet 75,000 and Chahine quickly folded.

Andrew Theakstone Eliminated in 16th Place (AU$82,000)

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante
Andrew Theakstone
Andrew Theakstone

First to act, Bjorn Ostby made it 65,000 to go and Andrew Theakstone in the big blind three-bet to 200,000 with a stack of around 675,000. Ostby moved all in and Theakstone called it off.

Andrew Theakstone: {A-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}
Bjorn Ostby: {A-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}

The {9-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} flop gave Theakstone an additional flushdraw, but he needed the diamond when the {K-Clubs} followed on the turn. It wasn't meant to be for Theakstone, as he bricked off with the {3-Hearts} river and headed to the rail in 16th place for AU$82,000.

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante
Hamish Crawshaw
Hamish Crawshaw

Simon Chahine opened to 65000 and got calls from Hamish Crawshaw and Mike Del Vecchio.

Del Vecchio checked a {4-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{a-Hearts} flop to Chahine who continued for 90,000. Crawshaw called and Del Vecchio folded.

The turn was the {8-Hearts} and Chahine check-called 140,000.

The river was the {2-Diamonds}. Chahine checked again and Crawshaw moved all in for 390,000. Chahine had just under 450,000 remaining and cut a frustrated figure at the table, snapping his chips together before eventually folding.

Wakeman Leads the Outer Tables

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

Clinton Taylor raised to 65,000 and Michael Egan three-bet to 165,000. Taylor four-bet all in and Egan asked for a count, then folded.

Over on the other table, Gyeong Byeong Lee defended the big blind against Bjorn Ostby. On the {4-Spades}{3-Hearts}{2-Spades}{5-Diamonds} turn, Lee bet 100,000 and Ostby called. The {10-Clubs} came on the river and Lee bet 500,000, Ostby folded instantly.

Simon Chahine Eliminated in 15th Place (AU$82,000)

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante
Simon Chahine
Simon Chahine

It folded to Simon Chahine on the button who moved all in for 360,000. Hamish Crawshaw, who had just won a big pot off the Australian, was in the big blind and called putting Chahine at the risk.

Simon Chahine: {a-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}
Hamish Crawshaw: {a-Spades}{7-Clubs}

The clear home favourite was roared on as the flop came {6-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{a-Clubs} giving Chahine two pair. However, there were gasps as the {7-Diamonds} rolled off the turn giving Crawshaw back the lead.

The river was the {q-Diamonds} and Chahine was eliminated.
