More for Kenney

Level 25 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

Gyeong Byeong Lee raised to 90,000 and was called by Bryn Kenney on the button. On the {K-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{5-Clubs} flop both players checked. Lee bet the {4-Spades} turn for 75,000 and Kenney raised to 280,000 to claim the pot right there.

Kenney then made it 85,000 to go in the cutoff and David Wang called from the big blind. They checked the {A-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{6-Hearts} flop and the {A-Hearts} turn. Wang checked the {Q-Clubs} river as well and folded to a bet of 120,000 by Kenney.

Level 25 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante
Hamish Crawshaw
Hamish Crawshaw

On a {10-Spades}{q-Spades}{9-Hearts} flop Hamish Crawshaw checked to Norihiro Otani who bet 75,000. Crawshaw check-raised to 210,000 and Otani three-bet all in for 1,845,000.

Crawshaw had 1,419,000 behind and took his time thinking before committing the chips to the pot.

Otani turned over {a-Spades}{q-Hearts} for top pair and a backdoor nut flush draw, while Crawshaw held {q-Clubs}{9-Spades} for top and bottom pair.

The turn {6-Clubs} and river {8-Hearts} were clean as Crawshaw held to double to just under three million in chips.

Wakeman Gets Shorter on Outer Table

Level 25 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

Bryn Kenney raised to 85,000 on the button and was called two ways by Matthew Wakeman and Clinton Taylor in the blinds. On the {A-Clubs}{9-Spades}{8-Spades} flop, Wakeman checked and Taylor bet 205,000, Kenney got out of the way and Wakeman called. The {Q-Spades} turn was checked and Wakeman check-folded the {2-Spades} river after mulling over his decision for some time when facing a bet of 375,000.

Kenney didn't slow down and raised once more, Gyeong Byeong Lee called in the big blind. Lee checked and called a bet of 100,000 on {K-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{4-Clubs} but folded the {10-Diamonds} turn when Kenney barreled for another 245,000.

Greg Heaver Eliminated in 12th Place (AU$123,000)

Level 25 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante
Greg Heaver
Greg Heaver

Greg Heaver raised to 100,000 and Hamish Crawshaw three-bet to 300,000 from the small blind. With the action back on Heaver he four-bet all in for just over 1,500,000. Crawshaw called.

Greg Heaver: {6-Hearts}{6-Clubs}
Hamish Crawshaw: {k-Diamonds}{k-Spades}

Since the elimination of Simon Chahine in 15th place, Crawshaw has been the crowd's favourite and his rail has been singing his praises for the last half a level.

However, they were stunned when the flop came {6-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{4-Clubs} giving Heaver a set. But they soon found their voices on the {k-Hearts} turn giving Crawshaw top set.

The river was the {2-Clubs} as both players hugged and shook hands, with Heaver heading to the exit in 12th place for AU$123,000.

On a {5-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{4-Clubs} flop Mike Del Vecchio and Hamish Crawshaw both checked and Del Vecchio bet 180,000 on the {8-Clubs} turn.

Crawshaw called and the river was the {a-Diamonds}. Del Vecchio bet 540,000 and after some thought, Crawshaw announced that he was all in.

Del Vecchio sat with 1,200,000 behind and a pained look on his face.

"Do you really expect me to fold an {8-} here?" said Del Vecchio, thinking. "Aces - that would be a good hand."

Eventually, Del Vecchio folded. Crawshaw declined to show, and Del Vecchio reached across the table and tapped the table in a gesture to his opponent.

Level 25 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante
Norihiro Otani
Norihiro Otani

Left short after doubling up Hamish Crawshaw, which started the latters meteoric climb up the chip counts, Norihiro Otani moved all in for around 600,000 with {a-Hearts}{6-Clubs} from the cutoff. Bjorn Ostby was on the button and rejammed with {a-Spades}{q-Clubs}, forcing out the other players.

There was no help on the {7-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} flop as the turn {q-Spades} sealed the pot for Ostby. The river was the {6-Hearts} but it was too little, too late for Otani who was eliminated in 11th place for AU$123,000.
