Ajez vs MacPhee; Mooney Joins

Level 3 : 200/400, 400 ante

On a {6-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{5-Clubs} board, Kevin MacPhee checked to yesterday's A$25,000 Pot Limit Omaha Challenge third-place finisher Najeem Ajez who bet 9,000. MacPhee called, but mucked when Ajez showed {k-Clubs}{4-Hearts} for a straight.

Meanwhile, Geoffrey Mooney joined the field, sat between Jack Salter and MacPhee.

More for Badziakouski

Level 3 : 200/400, 400 ante

Mikita Badziakouski and Jeremy Pekarek were at it on a board of {q-Clubs}{j-Spades}{5-Spades}{10-Hearts}{j-Hearts} and both invested 2,500 each. Badziakouski rolled over {q-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} for top pair and Pekarek sent his cards into the muck.

"I was not going to fold, thought you'd bet more like 3,500," Pekarek said in table chat.

On a flop of {q-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}, Kevin MacPhee and Matthias Eibinger checked out of the blinds and Najeem Ajez bet 2,400. Derek Ip folded on the button and MacPhee called, as did Eibinger.

The {5-Diamonds} appeared on the turn and MacPhee checked once more. Eibinger now bet 7,200 and Ajez called, MacPhee folded after a brief consideration. On the {7-Clubs} river, Eibinger announced a bet of 20,000 and Ajez called to get shown {a-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}. Ajez mucked the king-high flush and dropped a significant portion of his pot.

Dyer Eliminated by O'Dea

Level 2 : 150/300, 300 ante

Harrison Gimbel had doubled through Michael Dyer, with Dyer getting his remaining 2,325 in over an open from Eoghan O'Dea to 750.

Jun Obara called and O'Dea also called. The remaining two players checked the {k-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{q-Clubs} flop and the turn was the {9-Clubs}. Obara bet 3,200 and O'Dea called.

The river was the {6-Spades}. Obara bet 4,100 but snap-folded when O'Dea raised to 11,000.

Dyer turned over {k-Hearts}{8-Hearts} for top pair, but O'Dea had turned a flush with {8-Clubs}{7-Clubs} and sent Dyer to the rail.

Fast Takes From O'Dwyer

Level 2 : 150/300, 300 ante

Dietrich Fast raised it up to 800 in the hijack and Steve O'Dwyer three-bet to 2,100 from one seat over in the cutoff, which Fast called. The {k-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} flop was checked by Fast and he called a bet of 4,000 by O'Dwyer.

No betting action would follow on the {10-Hearts} turn and {2-Spades} river. O'Dwyer turned over {7-Hearts}{7-Clubs} and Fast scooped the pot with {a-Clubs}{10-Spades} for a pair of tens.
