Bansal Doubles Through Cavaiuolo

Level 2 : 100/200, 0 ante

A disgusted Sergio Cavaiuolo walked away from the table to take a short break even though he already knew he was not eliminated, however, his stack had taken a major hit in a clash with Paawan Bansal.

As one might guess, with all of the chips going in the second level, it was a setup as both players had flopped a set on the board {a-Spades}{6-Clubs}{3-Spades}{j-Clubs}{j-Hearts} and Bansal ended up doubling for 25,200 to leave Cavaiuolo with a fraction of what he started with,

Guzzardi Raises Flop, Raises Turn

Level 2 : 100/200, 0 ante

Michele Guzzardi was under the gun, facing an unspecified bet from small blind on a {5-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} flop. Guzzardi raised to 1,800 and his opponent called.

The small blind led out again on the {j-Diamonds} turn, betting 1,100 to leave himself with 8,300. Guzzardi played around 13,000 and opted to raise to 2,700. The other player let his hand go and Guzzardi improved to just over 18,000.

McSwiney Jams Into Noda

Level 2 : 100/200, 0 ante

A bigger pot of 12,500 had already emerged and Joshua McSwiney, a recent finalist of an 2020 Aussie Millions event, pushed for an effective 17,175 on the {8-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{3-Spades}{9-Hearts}{k-Spades} river. His sole remaining opponent was Hiroyuki Noda who was covered by some 3,000, and the Japanese went deep into the tank before folding.

Noda and Kitty Kuo urged McSwiney to show his cards, with the former guessing it was either six-five or jack-ten for a straight. McSwiney obliged and tabled kings for top set.

Lee's Lead Fails

Level 2 : 100/200, 0 ante

Timothy Adams was on the button, betting 300 on {5-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}. Jamie Lee check-called from the big blind and they saw the {6-Spades} land on the turn. Lee opted to lead 800 and Adams called. The {6-Hearts} river was quickly checked by both players and Lee announced ace-high. Adams tabled {8-Clubs}{7-Hearts} and raked in the pot.

Augarten Doubles Twice

Level 2 : 100/200, 0 ante

Igal Augarten was all in with {6-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} against the {a-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} of George Psarras and the board came {q-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{5-Spades}{3-Clubs}{4-Spades} to let Augarten double.

Right after, both clashed again and Augarten was at risk for 5,200 with the {a-Hearts}{k-Spades},

"Maybe I get lucky this time," Psarras added while he flipped over the {a-Spades}{10-Spades} and again it was Augarten that had the best of it on a {k-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{2-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} board.

The table also features Koray Aldemir and Didier Guerin.
